At this point, I just hope we win one of the FBS away games. That way we won't still be looking for our first road win as an fbs school next year. Win one road game and take care of the fcs schools and we will have 4 wins for the season. What is yhe status of Prover? Didnt they say at the beginning of the season he'd be out about 4 weeks. Hope he can come back soon. If he can come back, could we then move piert from placekicker to punter?

Trying to look at this somewhat objectively, apart from the NT score, it looks like we'll have a better shot at New Mexico. In short, we rank better than NM in both offense and defense, while having a 65th ranked schedule in difficulty versus NM playing against a 162 ranked schedule. I included North Texas as another control.

Sagarin - rank
NM – 108 (162)
NT – 50 (160)
LU – 156 (65 schedule rank)

Total Defense (rank)
NM – 117
NT – 19
Liberty – 107

Rushing Defense (rank)
NM – 124
NT – 14
LU – 128

Passing Yards Allowed (rank)
NM – 87
NT – 60
LU – 5

Total Offense
NM – 71
UNT – 17
Liberty – 44

Passing Offense
NM – 88 (207 ypg)
UNT – 12 (345 ypg)
LU – 25 (294 ypg)

Rushing Offense
NM – 49 (3.76 ypc)
UNT – 81 (4.11)
LU – 91 (4.56)

Our talent is fine, our structure is lacking.

Matthews should be a Mccaffrey type back that lines up as a slot guy or gives Buckshot a reasonable(3-4 yard) check down. Pickett needs to be our 3rd down back. Keep drives alive at all costs.

Even taking away the 53 yard TD run against ODU, Peyton Pickett is still averaging 4.5 ypc. The staff is missing out on this opportunity against quality opponents.

AGG lined up well off of the sidelines. Looks like we made an adjustment there.

TOP was even but certainly didn't feel that way.

344 yards of offense should mean three scores.

Buckshot was throwing like it was dry. Probably my biggest question coming out of this game. Buckshot looks like he's had footballs pulled out of water in practice but the center and the WR corps looked like they had never used wet gloves.

ESPN is using Yards per Attempt for QB, not Yards per Completion. It's a relevant distinction. AGG, Stubbs, BJ, and King are averaging 10.2, 15.8, 15.0, 15.5 Yards per Catch each.

A couple early missed PI calls were de facto drive killers.

The score got run up at the end because our defense couldn't keep off the field.

We failed to gain any momentum. Any of the early PI's, or major pass drops could have changed the feel and the score dramatically.

Good question. UNM's athletic budget is in the toilet and there are no regionals that care about the Lobos unless they are playing teams in Texas or Arizona. But you would think they would at least let the local TV stations do something as 3rd Tier providers even if it is just a 2- or 3-camera shoot. Then again they may not have budget either.

Through three weeks, the Lobos are 2-1. This is the best start the school has had in 11 years. Despite all of the injuries the team has faced, especially at the quarterback position, they’ve managed to persevere through the first 3 games of the seasons.

But you can tell by looking at the stats of the UNM/NMSU game, that their win was due mostly in part to a superb running game and an inspired defensive effort. Highlighted by the performances of both UNM RB Ahmari Davis, who found the endzone 4 times, and 5 turnovers forced by the UNM defense. The only part of the team that seems to be dragging them down came from the most important position on the team, their quarterback. Sheriron Jones. The 3rd QB on the Lobos depth chart started his first game for the Cherry and Silver in Las Cruses on Saturday, and it was a rocky opening act to say the least. Jones’ first pass of the game was a screen that was intercepted by Aggies DB Terrill Hanks and returned 28 yards for a NMSU pick-six. The Lobos would rally from this early turn over and go on to a 42-25 victory, but Jones’ overall performance left much to be desired. Jones finished the night going 12 out of 19 on completions and threw for only 127 yards with no touchdowns. A underwhelming performance to say the least, and all but guaranteed the starting job to UNM freshman QB Tevaka Tuioti when he is medically cleared to return to the field.

If you were really nice you would drive to game and stream it via Facebook Live. If/when you get arrested, each one of us that were streaming the game could donate $6.99 to your defense team.

If it wasn't for LU softball Saturday, and a planned trip to Missouri and Alabama , the following 2 weekends, I would go to NM game and stay out there for NM State game.

I'll be paying the $6.95 for the 24 hour pass to watch the NMS game on Aggievision. I would have also done the same thing for the Lobos game.

It would be nice if LU could do a local stream for an on campus watch party. That would not hurt NM's local attendance (homecoming). Perhaps charge a small fee for other LU fans to join the stream to help offset expenses...

It is nearly closer for me to drive to Lynchburg.

There is no video stream or TV broadcast of the game Saturday at New Mexico. The ESPN3 is not correct. Yes we will have radio pxp beginning at 4:30pm EST with the pregame show.

Liberty Football just posted this picture.

This looks like ESPN and LFSN will have the game. That would be HUGE.
LU Football has modified the graphic and posted there is no video broadcast of the game. Bummer.
