Steve1981 mentioned over on the CSN board that the UMass folks announced during their Signing Day News Conference that the original 4-game slate scheduled between them and us had been extending into an 8-game deal. They also stated that their contract with Army had gone to 10 games as well. I suspect all parties have waited to reveal more dates since they all need flexibility in their scheduling.

On a possibly related note, the UConn to FBS Indy/Big East rumors are percolating once again. That could be another steady date on our schedule soon. If we get one or two more FBS Indies then late season scheduling will no longer be a concern.

A couple more moves from Conferences to Indy and the possibility of a Trans America Conference (Trademark this date) could be a reality. Plus it would be AWESOME to hear Sportscenter say teams are ‘Transitioning to the Trans’!

Liberty University and AD Ian McCaw weren't satisfied with their first transition and are going for two. With the recent convention to establish the Trans American Conference, The Trans as it has become known, Liberty has identified itself as one of the most flexible programs in the country.
