The local paper said the LU coaches had their players practicing all week with WET footballs that they soaked with water bottles to simulate game-time conditions; the result, ZERO turnovers while the Dukes had FOUR.

That sounds like GENIUS coaching to me! :clapping

Ballcoach, I was out of town in Blacksburg with 20 students. Wasn't it :rainy in Lynchburg on Saturday? I know if sure was in Blacksburg.

It rained some, especially the 2nd half. I recall the year we played JMU in Lynchburg, the student side was packed 2 hours before the game, and students stayed entire game in a monsoon.

I was there for 2 reasons--Coach Rocco, and it was against JMU ("Just Missed UVa").

I was there for three reasons, we had a good team, a good coaching staff and a chance to win. Two of those were missing last Saturday, thus a very low attendance.
