I have a feeling we are going to pull this one out. I know it will be tough, but it can be done if we play our best game of the year to this point.

Interesting statistical comparison. Granted their numbers are against much weaker competition, but it does show how they have managed to stay undefeated. I agree with the general sentiment that we should see plenty of offense this weekend.

I think our CSU friends who have been dropping by the board could fill us in on the details, but it seems to me that CSU is much like CCU in building toward this season for success. Coastal has been playing essentially the same players for four straight years in anticipation of this ultimate season before their rebuilding next fall. CSU has been adding scholies and riding Drafts to this point. They aren't as dependent on seniors as CCU, but there are similarities. Their success is unquestionably tied to their QB right now. And considering the type of season that Drafts is enjoying, that's a very good thing from our South Carolinian friends. If we give Drafts time to find his receivers then we are going to have a very long afternoon. Our secondary has shown it can't last forver back there. Having Jason back up front should have a very significant impact. We saw how much trouble we gave Towson when he was wreaking havoc before his injury and he's a big reason we performed so well against Wake.

On a completely unrelated note, I admit I enjoy playing these other Baptist schools like G-W and CSU. Its seemed for years that we have been somewhat isolated and its good to see schools like Charleston Southern stepping up. Now if they could just build some facilities down there it would be nice. Perhaps this year's success will help them in their fundraising.

First off, the transitive property does not work in college football.

Second, we have 10,000 students, not 20,000.

Your media guide say 20k. So you’re telling me a larger alumni base doesn’t help in fundraising?

We have 10,000 in DLP. 9500 of them have probably never stepped foot on campus.

Preachers, preachers wives, and nurses don't tend to give too much money back.

Like some of the others have said, only 10K real students. Most of the $$ comes from a handful of influential JF followers.

Having paid ½ hour give you’re money when your dead commercials help to. Although I’m glad CSU doesn’t do that.

Great post. You can certainly say, "The Buck Stops Here!"
(although on Saturday, it will be "The BUCS Stop Here."

I think it's crazy how much GW sucks at rushing. We should have replaced our defensive line with our backup secondary. They probably still couldn't have ran it.

Its fair to bring up the common opponents, but its kind of a moot point. SSU is so pad that everyone does well against them. Nearly all of their offense came in the 4th quarter when we were getting our young guys experience. And we had awesome numbers against G-W thru 3 quarters before we had our worst quarter of the season. We'd like to think that was a fluke and not indicative of the season. But it is what it is. G-W is clearly the Bucs' biggest win of the season (yeah, I know you guys have a big rivalry with El Cid but you didn't exactly blow away that bad team).

It appears CSU will have somewhat of a fan presence at the game. The university is chartering a couple of fan busses to take fans who want to ride to the game free of charge. The band and Cheerleaders are also making the trip.

The internet allows you to do so much these days.
It’s great. It’s against my team and I think it’s great. I can’t wait to find out about it.
Is the student section behind the visiting bench?

Also where is the Visitors seating located?

The student section is the entire away side. There are 7 sections (I think). The visitors are around the 25 yard line on the north side. There are students everywhere else on that side. I stand on the 50.

Up to four.

I expect a good crowd and good atmosphere with it being yawls senior day and the whole College for a Weekend going on, plus us bringing a few folks up on busses along with the normal diehards who will drive. I’m also really excited that the band is going.
