Seems like an option. Great story of HF returning to coaching and against a potentially top 25 opponent.

As far as Sam goes, I don't think that will have anything to do with it and it shouldn't.

See!? Now THIS is a prediction not some nefarious ballcoach #sources. I mean it’s a crazy ridiculous prediction but at least he has the courage to make the prediction

Probably the voices in your head. Remember to take the yellow round pill before the pink oval pill. And definitely stay away from the blue diamond shaped pill

I also recall posting when we first announced that we were going FBS, that we will play Power 5 schools. After posting that, I had to sleep with my pistol under the pillow. Some thought I was crazy for saying we would play P5 schools.

What in the world are you ever talking about. When we announced we were going FBS I am pretty sure it was assumed we would continue to play P5 schools

I believe you said some insanity about Alabama playing at the bill...

While an even longer shot than my idea of Gameday coming for the ODU game, it would be pretty cool to have Gameday in town for the Syracuse game. Do I think it'll happen? It's about as likely as me getting hired at ESPN by my 40th birthday at this point

Cuse will be getting ready to learn a whole lot about RB transfer from UMaine next season- Joshua Mack led the FCS rushing in 2017. From upstate NY, CUSE fan base were campaigning for kid would come to SU...New coach Babers didn't sign him. OU RB transfer was 4th on the depth chart before leaving OU. Hasn't done anything at the collegiate level to speak about. This should be a great battle of the RBs...

Posted on another thread, but I think they will come in to LU as a preseason Top 25 even though they lose their QB - they get a lot of media love. LU will be getting ready to learn a whole lot about a RB transfer from OU that will be eligible for Cuse next season - Abdul Adams - pull some clips of him - ( got benched for fumbling and transferred out -but an absolute stud in open field )

Yes, both are studs - Mack more proven - Abdul would have been a 1k rusher this season had he stayed due to OU RB injuries. Here is a highlight against Baylor ( 3 games after we beat them in 2017 ).

Trolling the coach!

They guy has less followers that I do (disclaimer: most may be porn bots)

I hope we sell out to keep the Orange fans to a minimum at the Bill.
Cuse fans are akin to Yankee fans ... vulgar beyond belief and full of their pride.
Ever been to a home Yankee game? Listen to their fans at the recent bowl game.
This all for me is enough reason to keep them at home.

He is the kind of guy I avoid on twiiter.

Fair-warning, this is kool-aid talk but fun either way.

I started thinking about our schedule for next season again and I had two thoughts, "is it a MAJOR stretch to think Liberty could crack the top 25 at some point next season?" And, "what would it take to be ranked atleast 25th in the final AP poll? Side note: Army finished 19th with an 11-2 record and 0 power 5 wins.

Starting with #15 Syracuse***

Syracuse will more than likely come in ranked in the top 25. ESPN's 'way to early top 25'*** has them coming in at #15. IF we pulled this upset off and I do think it is possible as they bring in a brand new QB, 3 new offensive lineman and their defense was average at best plus Hugh Freeze's offensive scheme is just that good! Back to the IF statement, if we upset Syracuse then our chances of cracking the top 25 will increase drastically. Now, looking at the rest of the schedule:

Away vs. Louisiana U.(7-7 and lost bowl game)
Home vs. Buffalo (10-4 and lost bowl game and brand new qb)
Home vs. Hampton
Home vs. New Mexico (3-9, beat them in 2018)
Away vs. NM State (3-9, split with them in 2018)
Home vs. Maine
Away vs. Rutgers (1-11)
Away vs. UMASS (4-8, lost to them in 2018)
Away vs. BYU (7-6, won bowl game)
Away vs. UVA (8-5, won bowl game)
Home vs NM State (see above)

You would think beating Syracuse would mean going undefeated due to the nature of such a high-profile win. However, we all have experienced to much heartbreak rooting for our Flames in recent years!

3 scenarios:

#1, we beat Syracuse but only lose to both BYU and UVA and finish 11-2 due to winning our bowl game. Does that do enough to give us a top 25 ranking? (If we come into the BYU game undefeated at 9-0 I think we could be ranked)

#2, we only lose to Syracuse, BYU and UVA but win our bowl game and go 10-3 with a power 5 win and victories over 2 bowl teams from 2018. Will this be enough to crack the top 25?

#3, we only lose to Syracuse and UVA but win our bowl game and go 11-2. Where would we finish the season in the rankings?

Thoughts?

If we beat SU, that would be more valuable than the Baylor game and it would shoot us up in ranking. If we go undefeated, I'll place us in the 40-50's range. If we lose against SU, BYU and UVA, Ill put us in the late 50's (I would include the same if we go 11-2 and lose to SU and UVA). I hope I am wrong on this one, but that's what I'm going with for now.

Syracuse lost a lot of players. IF LU beats them how SU fares the rest of the season will determine how big a win
