Columbia AND Marshall want him? He must be a bright student-athlete and serious about his academics. I hope we sell him on LU's Honors Program. Study We just had a student accepted at Harvard Law yesterday.

No real news on him but this article from last month provides some nice background:

Rams senior guard happy he switched from baseball to football

SARASOTA If anyone looks at home on a football field, it’s Jared Griffith.

Riverview High’s senior guard has the size, listed at 6-foot-4 and weighing 315 pounds. He even has a bona fide football nickname: Moose, given to him after his grandfather saw the size of Griffith’s baby feet and hands.

But Griffith never thought he’d make his way inside the Ram Bowl, where Riverview opens up the Class 8A-Region 2 playoffs Friday night against Kissimmee Gateway. Nor did he ever think he’d be using his big body to create holes for running backs.

Griffith thought he’d be picking low throws out of the dirt and charging in on bunt attempts. From the time he was 4 year old through when he turned 14, Griffith played baseball, and found his home as a first baseman.
