Texas Football wrote:2018 Recruit Analysis: Allen RB Brock Sturges

To be an underrated playmaker at Allen is a difficult task to say the least, considering the Eagles’ depth. The rushing attack is considered one of the best 1-2 punches in the state. However, Brock Sturges has flown under the radar from a majority of schools in the country, but that might all be changing come 2017.

With the departure of Kirby Bennett to Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, Sturges has a chance to handle the majority of the touches in the Eagles backfield. While many argue that Sturges was the more productive of the two backs, it seems as if the two were hindering each other from reaching the numbers they desired. Now, becoming the feature backs in their respective offenses, both can be expected to increase their production exponentially, and Sturges is relishing the opportunity.

Sturges has garnered much attention throughout the state, picking up 1,138 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2016. With Texas A&M and UT said to be high on this particular rising senior. They might have a tough battle on their hands to land Sturges, however. With this former Seven Lakes running back’s production sure to rise in the next season, rumor mills are predicting bigger offers on their way and will be coming fast.

They have a rising junior receiver at this mega-high school that used to live next door to us and is a believer and is getting attention from colleges right now. I've been selling Liberty hard to him for awhile now.

For the record, this is the high school that built that massive $60 Million, 18,000-seat stadium that had a bad foundation. The team has never lost a game in this stadium as they have piled up countless state titles at the state's largest classification. Allen is a 6000-student high school in a wealthy suburb of Dallas.
