Thought some from my era would enjoy this article on Phil Basso. I did not know about his career at a NASCAR speedway. Thx to Paul Rutigliano for posting on Facebook.

Phil Basso, an 18-year LVMS veteran in the Facility Operations Department, was once a rocket-armed college signal caller who still holds several Liberty University passing records. He even signed a contract with the Indianapolis Colts as a free agent after graduating from the Baptist university and has fond memories from his football career.

Very cool story. And that HS teammate is Javan's dad in case anyone was wondering.

His name is still very prominent in Flames Football annals including his insane 441 yard game...I think if he had been working with that offense for 4 years he probably has some almost untouchable career numbers
