How many more games will we have to suffer through with Gill as coach?

Buck had a rough day and nearly cost us this one. Hopefully it is a learning experience for him. I'm still on his bandwagon.

After watching Carrington Mosley's play, I'm wondering whether BJ's talent evaluation skills are far superior to our other esteemed board commentators speculating last off season on Mosley's impact this year? Is it possible? :D

We have got to stop running ball off right side of line on first down every passion.

Looks like the TV audience missed an exciting game Although Texas / Baylor came down to the end and TCU TTU went 2 OT

Apparently Probert isn't quite ready for Crunch time, but he's a Frosh and hit the one in OT so he gets a pass

If you are a fan you better not be whining about winning a close possible WTF type game. Why? Because for years LU has found ways to lose them.

Did Gill run over your puppy or something? I mean yeah he's on the hot seat but gracious...you sound like you'd run him out of town after an undefeated season

How do you know he's on the hot seat? I think he's fine

I literally slept through much of the first half, but got a Mountain Dew and popcorn at halftime to stay awake (and the Concessions guy was OUT of quarters, so he owes me 50 cents!).

I'm just glad we escaped with a WIN! In years past, OT has not been kind to us at home. Congrats to Coach Gill, the new special teams coach, and the whole LU team!

Glad we got the win, but play calling was dismal! I suffered through I don't know how many runs up the middle, sacks, and hurries. I was at GW game last year and it was ALMOST (we won this one) EXACTLY the same play calling. The first half and start of the second had very little diversity. And we are lucky the GW receivers had butterfingers in the first half or we would probably have had a different outcome. I think it was Jon who said in a previous topic post that the key indicator for this year would be "how we won". Tonight concerned me in that context.

GW has a very good defence. Coastal only had about 60 more total yards against them than we did and had to pull their game out late. They were all over Buckshot all afternoon, no pocket to step up into and when he scrambled their defensive linemen were fast. This week we had a couple of drops we didn't have last week. Buckshot actually gutted it out to win the game. Dante's catch was awesome. Alex's missed FG was against the wind and the third snap was the only high one. I agree there were a lot of running plays up the middle, we didn't spread the field much. Hats off to GW though, they always seen to be a couple of plays away from a BS championship run. It will be interesting to see how their D does against CSU next week. Baptist side was great yesterday, really got behind the guys late. You could see the players feed off it. A wins a win, I enjoy good competition.

When you are investing as much financially as parents are in the school, you begin to invest emotional support as well. I had longtime friends at the game who had never been to a Liberty game before who had a great time with the OT thriller.

Ive said this before and I believe it bears repeating...it doesn't matter if you win pretty or win ugly...whether by 3 points or 63 points...as long as you win.

Except when you're trying to get an at-large bid. So, it does matter.

16,606 I think

I have to smh at the thought that 16,000+ is considered a disappointment as far as attendance is concerned...

Edit: Correction...it was 16,608

The opportunity for an at-large bid went away a while ago. We're playing for the auto-bid or nothing. We could lose to Coastal at the end and it wouldn't matter if we beat Presbyterian and Charleston Southern.

rmiller made my point for me...this has never been about the at-large...I posted the #nosharing a year or two ago, but that has been my attitude pretty much from day 1 this year...its win the conference outright...and to do that we need to just win...regardless of the margin
