Looks like were down another lineman, although he's not a starter. Ernst Anderson. Leg was in a brace with extensive swelling and a wrap around the knee.

His second surgery on the knee a few weeks ago put him out for the year per Gill. I would like to know the status of Hartman and Crawford for this game. Lozano played a good game at LT considering his lack of playing time through the first 5 games.

Actually, it's my understanding that Ernst Anderson had a chance be a starter at one of the tackles if he were healthy He has yet to play a snap for LU due to injury, but he is a huge guy with surprising athleticism

He rather tall. I'm guessing 6'6. He does lack strength though. I run into him quite frequently.

Anderson is 6'7" 300 Coming from Norway he hasn't played a lot of football, but has a lot of upside

Monmouth has been very feast or famine on offense this year. Chaney is the workhorse, but in their four wins they averaged 39.25 points, while in their three losses, they only averaged 9 including a pair of sevens against Kent State and CSU. We need the run defense to step up because as I said, Chaney is their workhorse...another guy to watch I didn't mention in the Key players is Kenji Bahar. he is a dual threat QB who has appeared in all 7 of their games and I think they have a package of plays they use him on that we will ned to be watchful of as we game plan this week

We win this by 14+.

We've officially hit the snooze fest portion of the season.

Oscar Madison and Felix Unger
Scruffy Chic and Metrosexual
Lavon Chaney and Mike Basile

I liked Chaney's old look better

And come on Monmouth If you are going to make the players wear a tie for their photos, have someone there to help them get it tied right and the collar straight The coach is the only one who got it right

Let's hope the team doesn't feel that way.

They do which is why I am fully confident we will lose a game before CSU.

That's why all these comments about "bye weeks" concern me. As we just about found out about Concord a few years ago, respect every opponent, every game.

Though I have no doubt others within the program think of it the other way.

Fans can overlook teams. We aren't paid to take them seriously.

FCS STATS poll has CSU #9 as does Coaches poll. Monmouth got 16 votes in FCS STATS and LU got no votes. But we got 10 votes (ranked 32) and Monmouth got no votes in Coaches poll :dontgetit

Who said LU had bye weeks?

Prior to the Robert Morris game 1 or 2 guys said we had 2 straight bye weeks, indicating that RM was the same as a bye Of course it wasn't, because you don't get a W for a bye

After last year it would be stupid for ANYONE (even lowly fans like us) to consider ANY game a sure thing

CSU is deserving of a top 10 - top 15 ranking. Liberty will not get a first round bye, so polls are meaningless for the Flames.

That in and of itself is an indictment of where we are as a program. We shouldn't be sweating games out vs Monmouth, PC, and G-W.

If we were to win out and finish 8-3, with the only 3 losses to FBS teams and JSU, a bye is not out of the question We would have wins over Coastal and CSU, who will both likely be ranked, and we would be on a 7 game win streak "Style points" on some of those wins could be helpful A tough task, but certainly not impossible

I don't know how you define "sweating out" a game If that means obsessing or worrying, obviously not Taking every opponent seriously and coming mentally prepared to put them away if they have lesser talent is another matter
