We will win this one and then people will begin calling out people like me for being so critical. It'll be awesome.

John Banaszak took Ernie Holmes position on the D line for the Steel Curtain. I think he was part of 4 Super Bowl winning teams. This team is really young. Nice warmup game before heading into the bye week where we can go into KSU healthy and win a game on the road for the first time in quite a while.

This is the start of back-to-back bye weeks. Hopefully we can win both weeks to build momentum heading into BS play. Bold prediction: We don't get 15,000 fans for a game the rest of the season. Let it also be noted that the ticket sales department does a great job selling tickets and this will not be a reflection of their efforts.

We win and start a 7 game win streak. The O-line stabilizes and Buckshot gets protection and the balanced attack with Frankie Hixon get more reps gets us to the Promised Land.

It's definitely the start of a five game win streak.

Here's my thoughts on today:
1) I agree with the writer that this game comes at a good time. While the coaches and players won't say it, a result like last week can shake your confidence. Getting a winnable game against a young squad like RMU is good for this bunch. Dominate this one and head into the bye week on a high note
2) As much as people on here had an issue with Woodrum, especially the last couple years, when he had a chance to take the reins of this squad and make it his team back in 2012, that is exactly what he did. Calvert has a chance to make this team HIS team these next couple weeks getting all the first team reps and starting tonight as well. You feel bad for Masha because he waited all last year after being at the helm for one of our biggest wins in school history in 2014 but he missed his chance to really cement himself as the guy for the next two years and he didn't take advantage of it. While we can discuss ad nauseum ad infinitum what the coaches did, he really could have done that almost in spite of the coaching...his job now is to support the young freshman and keep himself ready because he is one play away from being right back in there as the starter.
3) We should expect to win tonight (and easily so), but we cannot sleepwalk through this game. RMU knows they are going into this one as the underdog so they will have nothing really to lose and everything to gain from getting a win. With that in mind, while we don't need to be inch perfect tonight, we can't play fast and loose with house money either.

Tanner Hartman and Ethan Crawford will both be out So much for O-Line continuity Campbell and Passmore will start in their place As best I can tell that leaves us with only 2 scholarship O-linemen off the bench, Bounds and Lozano We have a couple of walkons and 2 FR we are redshirting

I wonder if in the back of Masha's mind he's. It saying 'at least I'm not the guy getting hit out there'
But this is going to be a huge issue going forward. The O Line can scrape by tonite and for some other games but they will need to be solid for CSU
