All QBs looked good.

Only touch football but refs had quick whistle.

That's not a bad thing You don't want anything to happen. Rather have quick whistles than an injury

It's glorified 7 on 7 but masha Calvert and Gandy golden were all impressive. Big frame with good hands. Our receiving core is set for the next couple years. Masha looked better throwing the ball to me. Calvert was as good as advertised but it was 2nd team defense as well.

I haven't heard the stats from the second (off campus) scrimmage, but in the other 2, Buckshot is 10-10 with 6 touchdowns A lot of that was against second team defenders, but he was also throwing to second team receivers

This is a good thing It only becomes a controversy if Masha struggles

The limited contact nature of the scrimmage largely mitigated Masha's abilities as a playmaker with his legs as well as his arm...I really look forward to hopefully tuning in to watch us Saturday...(wow...its kickoff week...just yesterday we were talking spring ball it seems)

If they can't tackle I'd think that would favor someone who runs

Id think so too PH but apparently it was two hand touch so there were more than a few plays that could have been huge ones that were cut short

Diddo on the QBs. I thought Buckshot (and that is what he was called the entire scrimmage) was poised, patient, and accurate. He even showed off some out of the pocket ability during a red zone series. Masha just looked natural. He seemed patient when necessary and indicated he WILL NOT go down easy on a blitz defense. The only concern I had (a little) was Probert. He had a couple of misses and seemed a bit frustrated after the game.

Masha looks like a leader
Calvert looks like the future
Gandy Golden looks special
Damian King is special
