Atlanta's WDWD to Air LFSN Radio Football Broadcasts

Liberty fans in the greater Atlanta market will have a new way to follow football action this upcoming season, as WDWD (590 AM) and LFSN Radio have announced a new partnership for the 2016 season.
WDWD FaithTalk 590 AM will carry all 11 regular season and postseason football broadcasts from LFSN Radio.
With the exception of the Virginia Tech game on Sept. 3, WDWD will also air the full 90 minute pregame show, which includes the opening 60-minute Liberty Flames Football Tailgate Show, each game day. WDWD will join the Virginia Tech broadcast at Noon due to prior programming commitments. The Atlanta station also plans to air the Flames Minute segments on weekday afternoons during the 3 p.m. hour.
WDWD FaithTalk 590 AM is Atlanta's home for Christian teaching and talk. With one of the strongest AM signals in the market, WDWD is home to some of the most recognized Christian preachers and teachers in the world.
"WDWD FaithTalk 590 is extremely proud to announce our affiliation with Liberty University football," said Mike Moran, General Manager Salem Media Group Atlanta. "Salem Media Group is the nation's leading provider of Christian and conservative programming. As such, it seems only natural to partner with the nation's leading Christian University. The Atlanta metro boasts Liberty University's third largest alumni base nationally and it is our privilege to bring this programming to the thousands who call this area home. We're looking forward to an exciting 2016 season. Go Flames!"
Liberty's third-largest alumni base hails from the greater Atlanta market with more than 9,000 graduates currently living in the growing area.
"Faith Talk Atlanta and Salem Broadcasting have provided us with a great opportunity to expand our football radio network beyond our normal geographic footprint which has covered our state and a portion of North Carolina," said Liberty Director of Athletics Jeff Barber.
"Our LFSN radio team does a great job covering the Flames every game day and the product that they produce caused the WDWD leadership to seek out the world's largest evangelical institution to partner with the world's largest Christian broadcasting network for sports content. It will be a win/win for both of us for sure."
The Journey (WRVL 88.3FM) is the flagship station for LFSN Radio. The current network includes 18 stations across Virginia and North Carolina. The Journey offers a 50,000-watt FM signal which has been the home for Flames Football since 1983 without interruption.
