Welcome to A Sea of Red

by A Sea of Red
As we announced earlier this summer, we have decided to change our name. As of today, Flames Nation is now A Sea of Red.
We thank each and every one of you who submitted name ideas during this process. We received approximately 200 suggestions, and we took every one of them seriously. We went back and forth on them, changing our minds several times, before finally deciding on A Sea of Red.
So, while we’ve changed our name, you can still rely on us to provide you with all of the great content we’ve produced in the past as we continue to move forward!

We had choices. We didn't have to change our name.

If they wanted those media passes they had to get the stamp of approval!

Can you give credit to whoever came up with the new name? There were so many different names tossed around, I can't remember who suggested this new one. Or, did someone suggest "Red Sea" and you alll changed it around a little?

I like this change and think this shows a nice step forward even though I will miss seeing the FlameFans URL.

I guess the WIN goes to Olldflame, with an assist from evanchase12.

And Purple quickly jumped on the bandwagon.

I thought the same as well. It does sound like a fan forum for Lilith Fair or something.

I think it's great they show gender inclusion. You bunch of misogynistic Trump supporters!!
They do great work but if we didn't bust their balls how would they know we cared?

When my wife first heard the name, "Lady Flames", she did a double take at the television. I asked her what was wrong and then she told me what that sounded like and I'm now unable to watch any of our women's teams.

Cool. I didn't know if there was a new Periscope name that I couldn't find. Your doing a fantastic job this summer, thank you.

Thanks man. Periscope will be done via our twitter @ASeaOfRed. If you followed us @Flames_Nation, you automatically follow us on our new handle. I hope to do it tonight at 9, provided I get all my wife's chores done in time
