this schedule will NOT be a pushover by any stretch, these boys will be battle tested that's for sure, def have there work cut out for them. Couldn't find a "pushover" really in the group as far as OOC games went

Have you seen anyone else's schedule ballcoach?
As for ours, Robert Morris looks like a probable win for us even with a new QB

When can we expect them to release the game times?

Likely around the Big South Conference media days in late July. Game times usually are dictated by television, which is why most FCS conferences wait until late to announce in hopes ESPN selects a game or two for national programming.

isn't that the same thing we said about Southern Illinois last year before being lambasted up there?

Have you? I think he makes a pretty solid claim. It would be tough to find one more difficult

I still cannot believe we lost to Gardner Webb last season.

I'm just asking who you think has a more difficult schedule.

This team could be better than the 2014 squad and still likely start 0-4. Good grief.

We should have a good RPI.

We play in the Big South so it is hard to make the argument that we have the toughest. Maybe the toughest non-conference schedule.

Is the Big South such a pushover conference anymore? We can't even win the ($%&!) thing.

Yes it is. That fact that we can't win it is just an indication of how far we have regressed/fallen behind.

We have no business losing to Jacksonville. If we do, the season will be a complete disaster; maybe 3-4 wins all season if that happens.

Id start with Tennessee Martin. Three FBS plus they close the year with Jacksonville State...as a conference game. I'll have to peruse the link again and find some others to consider.

noway can BSC be considered pushover, each year either CCU or CSU has gone pretty far in playoffs,

I think it's the toughest schedule we've had and probably the toughest in the nation. Road games will be key. We have to win atleast 1 if not 2 of the smu coastal and Kennesaw state games to have an at large shot. Splitting the csu and jax state games seem reasonable. The rest are must wins. That formula equals 7 or 8 wins. Anythi my less and we're sitting home again.

No one is saying that the Big South is the Pioneer or NEC. But losing in the quarterfinals of a 24 team bracket is not going far in the playoffs. Let me know when a Big South team makes it to the semi-finals. Then we can talk.

I don't care what anyone says. The fact that there is a legit shot at us starting 0-4 before we get into conference play, only shows the strength of our schedule. We started 0-4 in Gill's first year against an easier slate in my opinion.
I don't think LU has regressed either. I do think the Big South has improved around us though. There always seems to be 3 teams at or near the top. Since '07, it has been us, Stony Brook, CCU. Then when Stony Brook left and we thought it would be a two horse race, CSU came out of nowhere. Now that CCU is gone, who is going to step into the spotlight? My money is on Monmouth or Kennesaw St.

I don't think we start 0-4. I'll post my game by game projections later but I can see us at 2-2...1-3 at worst.

It is a better schedule than 2012 because you have two FBS teams and the national runner up. Again, if we lose to Jacksonville, we are probably winning 3-4 games all season. They are not a very good team.
6-5 is regressing no matter how you slice it. Our OOC schedule was tougher than the recent past, but that doesn't take away the fact that we beat a first year Kennesaw St. at home by 10 and PC at home by 8. Plus we lost to GWU by 14 and Monmouth in OT. The days when we expect to throttle teams like Monmouth, CSU, PC or GWU are over.
