This looks like a guy we'd move down to LB in wimbo's scheme. Not sure he's fast enough to stay a safety

This looks like a kid Wimbo will move down to LB. Not sure he's fast enough to play in the back end. Like bringing in some juice kids for some immediate impact.

Welcome to the board, Tmill22!
Keep in mind that the highlight video above is from his HS career in Navasota. Whether he stays at safety or is moved to LB, the staff saw some things they like in in him based on his JUCO performance.
Incidentally Navasota is a small town not far from where I live. It is best known for the Lone Wolf Ranch just outside of town that is the home of a former LU Graduation speaker ... Chuck Norris. Just breathing the same air as Chuck has to give this kid a dose of awesomeness.

Jacob Hagen at 6'3 205 didn't have blazing speed at FS and he made All-America mostly because of great instincts and his ability to read the QB. But at 6'2 220 and his ability to cover he might also be suited to play the SPUR. I imagine the coaching staff will plug him into the position that best utilizes his talents.

We Texans know more about spurs than most folks.

his JUCO video was up on flamesnation when the info broke, he does have some good ball skills but def could see him playing the SPUR position in case of emergency, as he comes downhill fast, he def has SS ability to be playing that deep half of the field which could really be beneficial as we were burned a lot in coverage situations, last year. The Safeties on the roster really wanna lay the would and a lot of times get caught peeking down inside alot

Totally different body type than Hagan. Love for Solomon tos be a great coverage guy with ball skills. Defenses get spread out so much these days gotta have guys at LB/Spur that make plays in space. Definitely trust Wimbo to put him in the right spot; JUCO guy should be on the field next year. Seems like we've got a lot of corners. I know he might be our best returning corner but wouldn't mind seeing 39 play some free safety and be able to be in on more plays next year.
