We will take them seriously though because we just got embarrassed. We will look like a playoff team.

We better. If not then we have a real problem.

My biggest concern is if Monmouth's coaches were at the game yesterday.

I hope they were and think that is how we always play.

Ready for round 1 of the playoffs. Hope Monmouth takes it easy on us. We are entitled.

Starting center Lucas Holder will miss this game and the remainder of the season due to a foot injury

No word on Will Smith either, so I wouldn´t count on him playing this year. We are going to need some young OLinemen to step up in a hurry. I really think they should look at moving Gerald Holt from Defense, where he appears to have been buried on the depth chart by the development of our young guys on that side of the ball.

From that video I take it we have a lot of injuries. DJ's and Holders loss are HUGE, imo. Next is there is a lot of comical answers being thrown about during these player interviews. My oh my is all I can say.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this but Rice's comments are pretty telling:
I see similarities between that season and this season because we have so much talent. We have all of these people telling us how great we are and we started to believe it. We've got to go prove it.

To back up some of my criticisms of Josh and how he's not a playmaker with his arm:
Career record as a starter: 25-14
Record when throwing 40 times or less: 25-7
40 times or more: 0-7
Josh can't win us the game when he has to carry everything. He relies on the help of others. And that's not a bad thing. He's very good when we call the right game for him and don't try to do too much.

Here's a random stat that isn't too encouraging: The Flames have lost they last two debut road games against Big South opponents. This week is their first road game against Monmouth.

17 posts in this thread before this one and it's Friday at 3:47. Have our fans stopped caring after last week?

IMHO 179 posts in the G-W postmortum thread says no.

BJ already said that we've lost two road debut Big South games, so clearly we're going to lose and resistance is futile.

All I know is today is a must win game. I still cannot believe we lost to GW. I thought that would be easiest game of the season, and winning by biggest margin. I would have been upset had GW even scored, much less scoring 34. LU simply did not go to Boiling Springs to play football.
