It looks like it's going to come down to the Coastal game......again

I don't blame the coaches, I blame the players. Lots of upper class men in key roles not executing or showing up.

If we play like this we won't beat Chucky South, so we certainly don't even need to worry about Coastal.

LUNSFORD.
2014
Yes, he can't miss, we got this, Legatron.

2015
OH PLEASE, OH PLEASE, OH PLEASE.

This game had many things wrong but 9 points left on the field by your kicker will cost you everytime!

Is it one more loss before we start playing Masha more to get him ready for next year?

I would think so

Puts quite a damper on the rest of the season. Now we have to beat Coastal for sure to get an at large bid. (That is IF we can beat KSU, PC and CSU). Even IF we do, I don't see us winning any playoff games.

Disastrous. We looked completely lost.

Josh has never developed pocket presence and really hasn't shown much progress overall the last two years. It's a shame that, while he's been good to very good, he never took that next step to be consistently one of the best QBs in FCS. Sooner or later Masha needs real game experience to see if there's reason to think he'll develop into a good starter.

Tackling was horrible most of the game.

I think the coaches dance with who brought us. But if LU drops another game I can see them putting in more packages for Masha

Josh isn't getting benched and he doesn't deserve to be. He's a senior. While he's not a good leader, he's a pretty good quarterback. You let him play.

Don't lock the game thread while I'm typing a long response. UGH. Look, we were dead...then the coaches and players nearly brought us back. Just not enough intensity early. Seemed a bit disinterested. In the second this was much better, but then too many mistakes and missed opportunities. 2 missed 2H FGs, Sommer holding, Petey not holding on to the bomb in the EZ, 2 botched trick plays in a row, Parker not just letting the ball go, etc. Hurts but everything is still on the table. Don't forget that this is a very young team and mistakes happen, but too many mistakes from the leaders as well.

Keep Calm and don't chuck the coaches under the buss.

I agree. But the matrix changes if they drop another game. No chance for the post season, start to prepare for next

I couldn't watch this game so I am going to pretend like it never happened.

On the positive side, it looks like we will beat Coastal on our win every other week run. But we'll lose to Kennesaw State on Homecoming. So there is that.

That's all on the players.

I'be been hard on josh but I think he's down the blame list on this one. I put the most blame on coaching staff then Lunsford. Our special teams play is absolute trash and has been. We need a DRASTIC overhaul on special teams. Wimbo was horrible in the first half and Stamn was horrible in the second half. Then you have Peter dropping a wide open td after hearing him run his mouth about how he can't be stopped....right just leave him wide open. Lunsford should not get another attempt inside the 40 in his career. He's an absolute train wreck and I put more blame on the staff for calling plays like he's automatic. We keep playing for field goals and it has burned us multiple time's. I don't think we beat csu and this looking like a lost season.

I'm not blaming the coaches for the loss... But I would like an explanation on the two trick plays in a row on that last (full) drive.

Coastal walks the walk, while Liberty just likes to talk.
