If the Root Network has left you hanging like it did me, the link below shows various sites (taverns, etc) across the nation where WVU alumni groups plan to meet to watch the Liberty game. As the site suggests, you may want to verify by phone that the site is indeed broadcasting the game. Sites such as Charlotte, Lynchburg, Roanoke, Houston, Dallas, among other places across the nation are listed. Hope the list helps!

I'll be at Wal-Mart helping customers get all their electronics for layaway for Christmas so I'll probably check in at my first break then read the recap on my dinner break, but thank you for protecting the citizens of Portsmouth from someone who grew up there.

Here's what I got from the WVU folks:

West Virginia will host local FCS foe Liberty University on Saturday in a 3 p.m. game at Milan Puskar Stadium. We'll meet again at the Big Lick Tropical Grill to root on the Mountaineers and perhaps even play respectful host to a few Liberty fans. We had 21 in attendance last week and with many of our club's members going to the game this Saturday, we're going to need last week's non-attenders to show up in force in support of WVU, the club, Joannie and Big Lick, and B&C Sports, Inc.

I called the Charlotte site listed in the link (Whiskey River). It's a bar owned be Dale Earnhardt jr. Was told that they had 12 screens many of which would be tuned to the WVU game. My wife and I plan to go and eat a late lunch and stay as long as the game is competitive.

We live in uptown, and will have some Liberty friends in town... Hoping he can make it over to join you!

There s a dude wearing a liberty shirt and WVU hat. You're safe. I was over there at half time watching the UVA game. I'm happy here as I am actually the skinniest guy at my table!

Does Big Lick do this for Marshall games, too? After the LU-WVU game, I drove to my brother's house and watched the end of the Marshall-Ohio game, and it wasn't pretty. Plus, UVa lost, so it was a rough Saturday for me. But at least NO rain.

So what you are saying in that it didn't rain?

I don't know about Marshall games. This is a weekly thing put together by the WVU Alumni Association.

Cider, WVU Alumni Assoc. puts alumni in touch with nearby chapters, and those chapters usually organize their own game watches. My guess is you can follow the same chain for Marshall by contacting their alumni admins for nearest alumni chapters. Could also possibly find a game watch list on a fan site/forum like this one. That's how I found my WVU game watches in SC and FL.
