We may have our name at the bottom of the page, but that story is focused on killing P5-FCS matchups which would be awful for us if we remain stuck FCS.

The Big 10 might would be better off playing strong FCS schools, than some in the Big 10. The Big 10 is weak compared to other Power 5 conferences

The irrational B1G hate rears its ugly head again. The ACC is just as week and top heavy as the B1G.

Bulletin Board Material...

"Don't get me wrong," Holgorsen said Tuesday. "I can't blame our schedule-makers for doing what everyone else in the country does -- and I know these matchups are huge paydays for these little schools -- but these games count as wins for the FBS schools."

Sly, it doesnt hurt us in the FCS, it helps us. Programs like CSU cant play 3 FBS schools per season to fund an athletic program.

It may weed the financially weak out of the FCS, but hurt us ? I dont see it.

Think of it this way ... if the P5 shut down FCS games then they have to schedule G5s. If the G5s fill up their OOC slots with P5s, that doesn't leave us many opportunities to play up. It also creates a greater gap between FBS & FCS.

But I agree that the loss of guarantee games will likely mean that many FCS schools might have to either drop football or go non-scholarship. The latter is where I see the future of FCS going based on the current direction of the subdivision.

On a side note, Marshall was on the LU campus last night for a men's soccer game. It took 2 overtimes, but LU lost to Marshall 2-1.
