If we come out 1-2 it will be ok. Tough stretch. 2-1 would be great.

Must have been BJ's vote. I think we will win one but I'm positive we will lose next week. I'm just not sure which one of the other 2 we will pull out

Next 3 games are insane. I picked 1-2 out of just pure hope for 1 win. Work a few kinks out and 2-1 could be possible. Gotta bring our A game definitely. WVU is a definite loss after watching the first half of the LU game and then coming home to watch the 2 1/2 quarters of the wvu game.

I think 1-2 is the best that can be realistically expected. Brutal stretch of games.

WVU I think everybody can count that one as a loss
I think that it is not out of the realm of possibility we can take down both Montana and Southern Illinois. As I noted in another thread, Montana's offense is very "feast or famine", especially with the idea that Coach Stitt is a bit of a "riverboat gambler" with some of his decisions. Southern Illinois showed very well against IU, but they very well could be a "feast or famine" team as well.

2-1 is the best realistic expectation.
That said, based on what happened on Saturday, I went with 0-3.

I'm holding off on voting until the emotion of last night wears off, but my gut is telling me 0-3 as well.
Montana won't be intimidated by our crowd. They're a top ten team and will be favored. It's a game we'd love to win but I won't be upset if we lose as long as we play well.
SIU is the wildcard. Indiana isn't any good, but they're still FBS. The game is also on the road.
If we lose to Montana, I think we go 0-3 in this stretch. If we beat Montana, I can see us riding that momentum to a win at SIU and going 2-1.
I'm not sure which is more likely at this point.

0-3 would be a disaster, 1-2 Id be begrudgingly ok with and anything better then that and Id be giddy. Hopefully the O-Line and secondary can make some adjustments. With Peterson, Rice and Woodrum we have perhaps the best QB RB WR combo in all of FCS. Might be a bit of homerism but I think they can keep us in any game.

0-3 wouldn't be a disaster. It'd set us up to finish 8-3 if we took care of business in conference.

I think best QB/RB/WR combo in fcs is a bit of stretch. They are a great combo but I only see Petey as the elite one of the bunch.

0-3 might be a disaster, but it depends how the games go. 3 point losses against Montana and SIU would not be disasters.
We need to beat Montana or SIU to take another step as a program. But we have no shot against either if we play like we played yesterday.

Peterson played well when in the game, but was hurt. Hopefully he gets better soon and stays healthy. Without him near 100%, we will have struggle on offense.
Rice and Abnar played well yesterday. But the OL was bad and maintaining that production going forward will not be possible unless the OL plays much, much better.
Woodrum played poorly yesterday. Part of that was due to penalties. However, 19-32, 2 TDs, and 1 INT is crap against a team like Delaware St. considering he was only hit twice and sacked once.

I guess this assumes we beat Georgia State.

I went with 2-1 although 1-2 would not shock me. We have the defense to punish Montana for too many gambles, and the offense, despite last night's game to put up a lot of points. I do believe we can slow down SIU as well.

I think the top half of our league could beat Georgia State by two scores.

I have to get off this board. the constant negativity is oppressive. I think Del State will be somewhat better than most thought and we definitely kept the playcalling vanilla to not put too much on tape. 2-1 is my gut.

Yep. Somewhere in Week 2 is about when this post happens every year.

Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya
Not sure how your 2-1 is that different than 1-2. You don't seem very positive and 100% bought in

I just think 1 game is never a good read on any team. Dear Chicken Little, the sky is not falling. This same mess happened last year, with some even saying Gill might not be the right guy. Suddenly we beat CCU and JMU and everyone is thru the roof happy. I like my football mixed with patience. We know close to nothing yet.
Confidence? I'll say it loud an clear for you:
WVU - Close loss (within 2 td) with a shot at the end.
UM - Close win
SIU - Solid win
There is a ton of talent on both sides of the ball and it just needs time to gel. And from here out we will have tape to study on what a team really looks like, I would be shocked if we came out 0-3.
