A 3 star CB would be a nice addition to this class. Based on his offer list I like our chances once we get him on campus.

He ended up not visiting, but is expected to visit sometime during the season. We'll see.

With the committment of Faulks and a stable of underclassman CBs on the current roster, he may be tempted to look somewhere where early PT will be easier to come by.

Somebody committed over the weekend and he favorited and retweeted that tweet announcing it. Who knows.

He don't look like the type to duck competition. Hope that's not his thought process.

Agreed. No defined position for Tillman or faulks either. I still think you might see Tillman on offense if we keep getting quality dB commits.

He's apparently leaning toward Mercer unless one of the big boys comes calling.

I believe that was the best he had available. Yet another example of someone who should have jumped early in the process.

I 100% agree. He probably was hoping for a P5 offer than never came. By the time that he could revisit all those FCS and even a G5 offer, they had all moved on. Now instead of battling with our receivers in practice, he will be facing them for the next 4 years

only thing that I would say to that is this. Sometimes you can make more with less than going where there is already a lot there. By going there he may get more of a chance to shine when he faces different competition, where he is going to than possibly coming here. Him facing the competition may raise his level of play as again we are assuming that him having to "settle" for presby is a bad thing as opposed to LU.

Really that will bear itself out over the next 4-5 years coach

your right but its that kind of thinking that has put LU SO FAR BEHIND everyone else. the we are better than everyone approach. Granted he would have been a good get, he waited, and other opportunities didn't go as he prolly planned. Bottom line is we can all sit here and assuredly so think LU is better than everyone else, but that doesn't make it so. NEVER, underestimate the heart of a kid. Every time we play them don't for one second think that it wont be on his mind that he had the opportunity to come here, don't think he wont be trying to prove ppl wrong. Don't think that because he will "possibly" have more opportunities down there than here it potentially could not be noticed by other scouts, that's my point. So he could end up not coming here and still ending up possibly where he wants by having good to great games against LU.

That's certainly possible coach. It will really depend on how he does once he gets to Clinton. He could be the next Justin Bethel for all we know...and let me amend my previous comment. I used LU because that's my alma mater obviously, but he had a LOT of offers out there for him if the OP is any indication. He waited for something better and all those schools (LU included) had to move on, including a couple other Big South schools, so we won't be the only one having to go up against him when he sees the field.
