Paging Hooks!

Spend 2 minutes looking at this kid's twitter and you know any of those schools who have offered who's initials aren't WVU stand no chance. I suppose things would change if one of the big 3 Florida schools jumped in the mix. I really hope we aren't going to waste a lot of time and resources on a lost cause when there are outstanding prospects who really want to come to LU.

That's 0-2 so far on the "Hail Mary" offers. We still have 3 QBs we have offered who are undecided and several other prospects.

Make that 0-3. Another QB we offered has not committed yet, but has dropped us from his short list.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I fully support our offering top level quarterbacks even if they are long shots. I have heard too many stories down here in Texas of kids who have gone to P5 school to play who are stunned after graduating to learn they had an option where their Christian values would have been better appreciated and encouraged.

Well, IMO they should have done better research and not jumped on the "name" that they did, and in saying that it would seem that we are only offering with hopes that it doesn't work out wherever they initially signed they can use LU as a fallback as opposed to offering a potential kid that WANTS to be here from day 1. Nah, that wouldn't sit to well with me if I was in the locker room.

You guys are only upset we're throwing "hail mary offers" out because a dad came on here saying his son liked Liberty. You gotta go after the top talent. It's the way it works.

NO, not because a dad came on here and said so, but because the kid has talent and WANTS to be here, while your hoping for "Hail Marys" to be answered for kids that DON'T. Then all the talk that they lost out on kids that go elsewhere and never really are considering LU, just holding as a chip. Doesn't really matter because beauty is in the eye of the beholder, n since they the coaches are the beholders, it's only the beauty they perceive.
