We were one Justin Gunn completion away from making things interesting. I believe he dropped a fourth-and-medium that hit him right in the hands that would have put us in position for a FG if I remember correctly.

It was a leaping one-handed attempt that he couldn't pull in. Tough way to lose.

I like the fact that we're playing against other FBS private schools, especially the ones with religious backgrounds. Hopefully Wake and Baylor are just the beginning.

I would like to see us schedule TCU, SMU, BC, BYU and some military schools in future. I guess once our FBS status changes we'll be able to make games like these a reality.

The problem with those schools is that they play weak schedules and need to schedule UP not DOWN. lol

Easy with the SEC on Big XII/ACC smack. Just keep scheduling the Charleston Southerns of the world and let the rigged committe take care of you.

I would certainly be in favor of TCU & SMU matchups. And it almost seems like a certainty that once we have FBS affiliation that BYU would be scheduling us. Right now as an independent, they really need to schedule up as much as possible.

Considering the ACC just said they'd count BYU as a "Power 5," opponent, they're likely to be a seasonal ACC part-time member.

I really hated our last trip to WAKE......

It would be a great more enjoyable if we finally walked out of that place with a W, sigmo.

I certainly hated the way we lost but it's a nice away game. It's easy to travel, we can compete with them, and it doesn't hurt us if we lose. Win/win.

My hate had nothing to do with the game. Nick getting knocked out in the first quarter and laying motionless for about what seemed like 30 minutes made me hate it. hahaha

That is correct. It was a high pass that Justin got a hand on and almost hauled in. It would have been an amazing catch and given us a new set of downs well into WF territory.
