This really is a general sports topic, but since football is our big money sport both in expenditures and revenues I thought I'd post the information here.
Every year the National Association of College and University Business Officers releases a report of the endowment assets of colleges across the nation. Most of the top schools wouldn't be much of a surprise. But I thought I'd list some of the schools that might be of interest to us. Dr. J has made a big point of building our endowment numbers the past year or so but I didn't see us listed (we probably aren't a member of the organization). Here are the current rankings based on 2005 fiscal year:
1. Harvard - $25,473,721
2. Yale
3. Stanford
4. Texas
5. Princeton
6. MIT
7. California
