I think they liked lining it up with CFAW last year, so if they do that again, it will be April 11th.

4 offensive linemen dropped from the roster. It's a position where we had loaded up for a couple of years, but that is still a lot of big bodies to lose. Looks like Callison was the only one who was playing much. Hopefully the 2 redshirt Freshmen, Story and Passmore, can step up. Fritts would have been buried on the WR depth chart next year with the additions of Farrow, Daniels and King. With several more scholarships available, I would say it's time to check on the FBS transfer situation. You've gotta think a few will make their way to the mountain.

QB J.T. Bradwell has been suspended for the Spring due to a violation of team policy, according to Coach Gill.

We'll have much more from the first day of spring practice later.

What exactly are the range of offenses for a player to violate "team policy"?

It must be a significant issue to hold him out from 15 practices and a month's worth of work.

Having not talked to Turner yet (and he won't say anyway), I wouldn't be surprised if it was an academic issue. A quick perusal of the general courts does not show him in any legal trouble.

Sign him up for African American Studies and Swahili.

Some of those guys could be out this spring due to injuries. Several of the big guys would be surprises to be leaving the program as they appeared to be potential contributors this fall.

nothing in there about the new faces on O-line (or removal of old faces) though

I'm sure Troy will get into that as the Spring progresses. It's kind of hard to tell much about the O-Line from 1 day of workouts.

As far as who we lost, I'm not terribly concerned. Only 1 of the 4 was on the 2-deep - Ethan Callison. His loss does sting a bit as now we don't have any returning centers, but last year's 2-deep at LT, LG, and RT all return. We just need to find a center and right guard.

In York's interview on the AC site the first thing Gill said we need to accomplish this Spring is to "find 2 centers".

With Gill especially, I wouldn't read too much into who is running with the "first team" in spring ball. He doesn't put a depth chart together until after spring is done, and he tends to mix and match to find combinations that he likes.

center is just a wee bit important

not sure how easy it is to move a guard or tackle over?

In general it is easier for a Guard to move to Center. I'm pretty sure the only OL we have who has actually snapped a ball in a game is Grant Jones. I believe Lucas Holder was a center throughout his HS career, and was recruited specifically to play that position.

Callison left the team. Like Shashaty, wanted to focus more on school/ministry than football.
