I still don't know how they overturned the call on the field. Just don't see the video evidence myself. Look at the 46:10 mark. I admit we should have punched it in with first and goal from the 5. Huge momentum shift. We get 7 and we play the next week at Williams. Who knows what would happen after that!

It didn't exactly feel good to watch that again. That was the best look I've ever had at that play and now I KNOW he was in bounds the whole time.

From that angle, certainly wasn't indisputable evidence?

I'm with you DB89! I still dont have my voice back from screaming so hard at that blown call. Jennings clearly got the first down and then some. One of the worst spots I have seen in person at a game.

I had to listen to the game on the radio, and this is the first time I've seen the video. The announcers talk about him stepping-out at the 8-yard line. I don't se it there, but it does appear to me he steps out on th enext step, near the 5.
Seems like the right call to me.
Thanks for posting. Even though I know the outcome, I enjoy getting to hear and see how foreign announcers and TV crews approach Liberty throughout a broadcast.

Well, UNFORTUNATELY I was sitting right beside the replay booth trying to stay somewhat dry and even before anyone knew it would be a defining moment in teh game, I was talking with them, and they stated that ANY questionable call gets reviewed to the utmost video framing. They then said that in that respect they control the game, because they buzz down to the head official as to whether or not to continue play or if the play will be reviewed. They then proceeded to say hey look over the railing and see all the video trucks, we will frame it down to it most minute point(knee, arm, foot). A little while later after the call, and again during halftime, I was asking how close was it really, and both guys said he had stepped out of bounds and the debate was not the score but if he was out at the 8 or the 5 yd line. Really could'nt argue at that point, because dog gone it we still should have run speed option (like they did) and punched it in.

That william and mary call was the biggest load of crap call when spotting the ball ive witnessed. Pile moves forward 2 yards and rashad and godsil i believe were the primary pushers. They mark him for almost a yard loss. Just horrific.

Said it was a horrible overturn at the time and just feel stronger about it now.

His heel seems pretty clearly to be out-of-bounds at the 4.5 yd line from that video. Great effort on his part for sure and agree we should have had some better play calling and execution. The difference between the game being a 2 possession vs. a 3 possession game at that point would have been HUGE for the outcome of the game.

his foot was out unfortunately. HOWEVER... That Bill and Larry Call will forever be one of the saddest nights of my football watching career. I'll never forget Rocco running and I mean a dead sprint towards the refs after the call.

No sort of replay or anything to hold them accountable for the call?
For those of you unfamiliar with the game that some of us are referring to...

In the Villanova game, when we didn't punch it in from the five and had to settled for the FG I told my friends it would haunt us before its over. Sure enough it was the turning point. It was a close call and not punching it in is on us. Hats off to Villanova for the stop.
