I'll be in Spartanburg, South Carolina @ Wofford Sat. I don't think i'll be listening on the radio on the way home because I don't think i could handle listening to us get blown out of the water. I hope i'm wrong. but we all know how this story ends. #TypicalLiberty.

I think there are two distinct ways Coastal could approach the game with Liberty.
On one hand, Coastal is playing a rival on the last game of the season with an undefeated regular season and a #1 ranking in the polls at stake so they go all out for the win.
On the other hand, even with a loss, Coastal is guaranteed a share of the Big South Championship and a good seed in the playoffs and will be playing for a national championship. If Coastal buys into this term view, the game with Liberty becomes expendable.
If Coastal truly believes they have a chance to win a national championship, the Liberty game becomes expendable because: 1. It gives them an opportunity to rest some starters and those with minor nagging injuries, knowing they have a number of hard games left. 2. It would allow key reserves to get meaningful minutes and experience before the playoffs began. 3. Coastal stands to lose more in the polls if they go all out and still to Liberty vs. treating the game as expendable. 4. Their confidence takes a hit with an all-out loss to Liberty just as they are entering the playoffs.
Be interesting to see how Coastal plays it.

Moglia has Coastal playing like robots. It doesn't matter who they play - they have their regimen and are going to do their thing. They don't get too high for big games or too low for lesser games.
One of three things happen:
1) We win.
2) We get blown out.
3) We barely lose.
This won't be a 7-10 point game where we go back and forth and it's just out of our reach. It'll be close or it'll be a blowout.

If Coastal wins the game, they will very likely get a seed and a bye during the first week of the playoffs. They can rest during that week.
They are not taking their foot off the pedal.

You're probably right. I was thinking that they could get a seed with one lose. But with their schedule, that could be very iffy.

Coastal is not the best team in FCS. Their schedule is rather weak.

I think Liberty wins this game. We have played a tough non-conference schedule. We've looked more comfortable on the road than prior years. Both teams put up significant points. Special team play appears to be stabilizing. Neither team has a dominant D - but I think our front 4 & Jacob H help put us over the top.

That wasn't worded well at all. Let me simplify it:
It comes down to the last minute or we get toasted.

Weather looks good for Saturday. Partly sunny, with a high near 59. Can't wait! Looking for another big W on the road, like we had against a good App State team (now 5-5, just knocked off Arkansas State on the road, a quality Sun Belt team). Then, the naysayers will be eating crow again. It will probably be a shootout, much like the Richmond and App State games. They have a very efficient offense, but a susceptible defense. Beat Coastal!!!

For this game we will need all hands on deck and really need to throw all caution to the wind, Shells, Woody, Macon, Ray all needs to be avail, any and all trick plays to secure a lead, but keeping in mind no lead is safe with this bunch after last years collapse.

Can we stop this talk? They have done what their supposed to do: beat the teams on their schedule and beat them big most of the time.
Even with our tough schedule, we couldn't break through to beat the teams that were supposedly our level, and choked one away at CSU last week, as we usually do.
This Coastal team is a level above us and it's going to take us firing on all cylinders to be able to squeak out a victory.

I hope gill knows what he is doing. I feel like he put all his eggs in this basket some time ago.

+1 We need aggressive play calling (use of Parker, Kelly, and Masha). Whatever it takes to win!

I just feel like the d has been playing with one hand tied behind the back all year and he wont make a change. Just hoping for a tired ccu team thats due for a loss.

If defense has been playing with one hand tied, then it's time to un-tie the hand. This game will be won or lost by LU defense.

Im going Babe Ruth and calling my shot on this one and willing to Buy Hot Dogs and Hot chocolate for first 5 ppl if im wrong here, because we still will win.
27 5 14 23 21 11 6 will do what we havent seen for most of the year, play a monster game.
The ball will not go in the vicinity of 27 so only way he gets his pick will be off a deflection. We will have 2/3 picks this game
Woody throws for over 300 and defense has 3 picks

We also need our 3 LBs to step up their game so our DBs aren't always making tackles downfield and for our lineman and LBs to stop the run at the line of scrimmage.

You do realize that Ross' TD/INT ratio is 3:1 (18/6) right? And he has thrown 17 TDs and 3 INTs in his last 9 games right?

I think that this will be the game we get some "extra" pressure on him by the fat boys up front and possibly force him into "3" pickles, the lb's dont have to worry about option assignments so they may actually hit this RB in the mouth 5'8 200 is not that big so we should be ok

1) We are 11th in the nation in sacks allowed at 1/game.
2) You are correct that 5'8" 200 isn't big but it's hard to hit something you can't catch
I don't have a problem with you thinking your team will do well. That's fine, but some of your statements are head scratchers

.
It's the equivalent to some team saying they're going to hold the 1990's version of Nebraska to under 100 yards on the ground when they average 400+. And no I am not comparing CCU to Nebraska.
