Richmond wins a strange game at home VS #4 Villanova today. Two of the top offenses in the CAA and it was a 10-9 game. Several turnovers, muffed punts, fumbles in the red zone, missed FG's and everything in between. Big win for coach Rocco! Comcast announcers were saying that Richmond may have punched their dance ticket. Rocco is undefeated in November as the Spiders head coach.

App State is up 27-0 at the half against Georgia State.
Charleston Southern blanks Monmouth 27-0.
Norfolk State trails Florida A&M 7-6 at the start of the 4th quarter.

App State up 27-0 on Georgia Southern at the half. So much for the theory some guys on the Sun Belt board had that our having to go to OT to beat the "worst team in the SBC" made us look bad.

They are playing Georgia State not Georgia Southern...

Norfolk State wins 12-10 to move to 4-1 in the vaunted MEAC. They should be 5-0 but let Delaware State come back and beat them in OT. Bethune-Cookman is on the ropes against NC Central, down 14-7 at the half. No way that conference deserves an at-large bid.

Nice! Wish we could execute a special teams trick play...

This was an especially great day to boost our strength of schedule. Frankly it is getting tougher to argue that the Big South doesn't deserve at least two playoff berths.

Hard to disagree, however if CCU is the 2nd-3rd best team in the country, I am an astronaut. I hope they keep their high ranking, it could be to our benefit, I couldn't/wouldn't vote them in the top 10, especially after watching them against G-W today, not real impressive. Yes, they are undefeated but they haven't beat anyone.

With losses to 3 top 20 teams Richmond , Indiana State , and Coastal ;and wins against App State and Norfolk State( playoff team) it would be another night around the TV waiting our fate ....

Our Bryant win is bigger in the committee's eyes than Norfolk State. IF we can take care of business the next two weeks, I like our chances of getting a bid regardless of whether we beat the Chants. Of course that is a very significant IF.

The Bryant win was big. We beat them when they were ranked. Like I said many weeks ago, this is stacking up as probably our toughest schedule in memory given the results of the teams we have played. Even Presby was ranked 35th in last week's poll when we were 31. I think every team in BSC but Monmouth received points in the polls this year.

I've been saying for weeks that Coastal's record and ranking are fools gold. They haven't beaten ANYONE and barely squeaked by a couple of really bad teams. Anyone still think their 2OT win over Furman is better than our domination of Bryant? Having said that, I am totally fine with them being overrated. It works 100% in our favor.

Absolutely. How about that win over NC A&T by 1 point. I am not saying we are any better, we have to prove that on the field. But for them to be ranked in the top 5 is laughable at best. I hope they stay there for the next 2 weeks though.

NC A&T is 7-2, but their record may be more deceiving than Coastal's. They have beaten:

Alabama A&M (4-5 playing in the SWAC, which is by consensus the weakest conference in FCS)
Elon (1-8)
Chowan (a 1-8 D2 team)
Howard (2-7)
Hampton (2-7)
Delaware St. (2-8)
FAMU (2-7)

Their other loss was 13-0 to SC State
