We did indeed, ProudPapa73. Most of the guys on the bench all got to see some action late in this one.

Site traffic always drops considerably after a convincing win. Nobody has much to complain about online.

Well done, Flames!

PC beat Monmouth today 18-12 which raises the importance level of that game down in Clinton even higher

In their 4 wins, PC has allowed 14 (against Bluefield), 7 (against Furman), 14 (against Western Carolina), 3 (against Charleston Southern) and 12 (against Charleston Southern today). offense needs to keep up the momentum from the last couple games and again get off to a fast start

Aside from the penalties this was a perfect performance.

How did we draw 20,000 for Gardner Webb?? Wow.

I am encouraged by everything about today.

Family Weekend.

We have had family weekend in the past and it never has given us a homecoming type bump in attendance. It's good to see

There may have been a bit more momentum from the last couple games (the loss to Richmond and the win over App State) that may have contributed to the attendance bump as well

Always tough playing a football team twice in one season, especially back-to-back. But at least Chuck South did a little better in that second matchup.

Yeah I messed that up... hopped up on cold medicine when I wrote that...I meant against Monmouth today. Point being, PC's defense has really carried them in the 4 wins, and in the three losses, save the CCU matchup, the offense has not been able to step up when the defense was just plain outmatched

My grades for the week:

Offense: A. Despite losing a couple touchdowns to penalties, including that sweet pass play from Henderson to Peterson (I am surprised they haven't tried that before today), the offense played well and dominated as expected. DJ is starting to show wear from being the feature back at only 185 pounds and the foot/ankle thing is worth monitoring but not something that I would blame on the coaches necessarily

Defense: A. Where was this group the last three games? After getting lit up like the 4th of July and Memorial Day put together, the boys up front practically lived in the Gardner Webb backfield and the team that scored 47 last week never even crossed the plus 20 yard line during the game. Kenny Scott dominated Kenny Cook the week after he went for 251 against VMI. Jacob Hagen didnt get his name called tonight which was unusual but on a night when everybody contributed, not necessarily a bad thing

Special Teams: C+. Lunsford hit all his kicks, including breaking one of the oldest football records at the school. Dakota Kelly did a solid job returning punts and really the only "mistake" was Isaac Brown slipping on the one kick. Trey Turner is becoming a real big weapon for us after punter was a major question mark heading into the season

Listened to the 3rd and 4th quarter in the truck on the way back from our game in Chattanooga today. Did not expect that kind of performance or crowd. Well done. I'll say this. Coach McCray was the OC here the first few months I was here. He seems like a very good coach and a really good guy. GWU recruits against a LOT of good schools and its difficult to get guys there. Its a pretty campus but again its tough when you are recruiting against the SoCon and Big South Schools that have had a lot of success on the field. I really like to see them succeed. Just not against Liberty. :)

Great performance today. Stamn has gotten better each of the last 3 games, rock solid today other than going conservative on 2 and long those 2 drives penalties backed us up. Our offense can be incredible if we can get a few guys back healthy. Abnar has stepped up his game and we have a ton of weapons. Sigmon and scott made a big difference on d. Really not sure why gwebb wouldnt try quick hitters like we saw the past 2 games. There line had no chance up front. Seemed they would have been better served to get the ball in there playmakers hands. Thought mosley had a couple nice runs. I really think he can be the power back we need if macon is out longer. I really dont think we can keep running abnar 25 times a game and keep him upright. He fights too hard and has no quit which is what you want but it means he takes a lot of punishment and he has a smaller stature. We need to keep the intensity and stomp presby next week to send another message.

Pleasantly surprised. Offense did their thing, defense looked like a version from '13 and special teams did everything they were supposed to do and nothing else.

If we can bring this every week I like our chances of playing a game thanksgiving wkend.

Wasn't able to watch much or even keep up past the second quarter. Really like this result. Really like that crowd. Stamn is growing up as a play caller and it's exciting to see.
