Not that it really matters, a win is a win, as I alluded to. Also, CCU is 18-2 in their last 20 FCS games. Thought Process:
-Top to bottom the MVFC is far and above the deepest conference in FCS. I don't think anyone can look at the current top 25 and argue that.
-The CAA is deep as well 5 teams ranked in the top 25.
- The big sky and OVC are neck and neck IMO. Both have solid teams at the top of each conference. The top 5 in the OVC are exponentially better than the bottom 4. The Big Sky beats up on itself (sans the top 3) every year but has shown they are a top conference with their performance against OOC's across the board.
-Southland's addition of ACU has been a pleasant surprise. UIW and HBU have a long way to go however. With the usual powerhouses like Sam Houston struggling SELA, UCA and Mcneese have shown they can hang with all the top FCS opponents.
-BSC vs. SoCon. This one is easy. Presby, CSU and Coastal are a combined 5-0 against SoCon competition. The lone two losses to SoCon Competition have come from GWU's two losses to Furman and Citadel.
-The MEAC, lead by BCU, NC A&T and SCSU are better than they have been in recent years. Obviously the bottom of the conference is poor but the top 3 are either in the top 25 or receiving votes.
-Do not sleep on the Ivy's. They may not participate in playoffs but the Harvard Yale game this year will be one of the best FCS games of the year. Yale's game against Army was incredible. the bottom half of the conference is obviously not up to par but I would say they are better than they have been in years past.
-Patriot and NEC: Sacred Heart and Bryant have been pleasant surprises and continue to impress with wins over Delaware and Stony Brook. The Patriot (Sans Fordham) is in a down year. the rest of the conference is struggling against top FCS competition and unlike in recent years powers Lehigh and Laffy are very down.
-Swac: With 4 universities on probation, Alcorn State as your top contender and Texas Southern going 5-1 you have to think this is a pretty bad year for the SWAC attack.
Pioneer- I want so bad to rank them higher than last. having played against most of these teams in the past year, and knowing that there is some quality football being played the combo of having 3 of the worst teams in division 1(Stetson, Valpo and Davidson) and not having athletic scholarships its really hard to justify even the top teams (JU, Dayton and Campbell(big surprise there)) beating the top teams in the leagues above them. It doesn't help that both co-Champions from last year, Marist and Butler both graduated Heavy amounts of seniors this past year.
