Eric Green 1st Round in 1990
Walt Aikens 4th Round 2014

These are the top 2 highest drafted players in LU History.

NFL network gave some love to LU after the draft pick. Said whoever the recruiting coordinator is, he is doing a good job

Wow, if my math is correct, only 5 draft picks separated Walt from Tech's QB Logan Thomas.

I'm happy for Walt and think he will have a solid NFL career.
Your math would be better if you looked at how many QB's were taken ahead of Logan
How many Safety's taken before Walt

The original article said Safety. I would have just said DB but the N and A said the 'S' word. Glad you've changed it

I said he was capable of playing safety with his size, but he was drafted as a corner. Sorry 'bout the confusion.

As a lifelong Dolphins fan and a Liberty grad I couldn't be happier that he ended up with the Dolphins. I look forward to seeing how his career progresses that is for sure. Congrats to him!

I'm going to predict that Walt will start out his career as a sometime starter/key reserve at CB for 2 or 3 years, then get moved to safety and become a pro bowler. (Do they still have a pro bowl?)
