Bijan attended the one-day camp on Friday:

This kid plans on walking on at LU as a WR

At 5-10 he would make a good slot receiver and could use him on a WR option pass as well

Yeah, look how great that has worked with Gabe.

True...i don't know how much that was worked on in practice this year, but if they can tighten it up and make it part of their trick repertoire, it'll open up options for us, having a wide receiver who can be a triple threat in the slot

Notice the word walk-on

And didn't Gabe make the switch after a year or so in the program as a QB?

Gabe did start as a QB.

Exactly my point

I did notice walk-on. he walks on, earns his keep in training camp (or spring ball) and then with a "triple threat" available, we can tighten up that WR option pass

Hopefully we can do that with a scholarship player. They are generally more talented

I'd prefer that too, but if this kid shows that he can make good things happen, I'd take a shot at it. I don't know if we have any other HS quarterbacks in our receiving corps though with Gabe graduating

Masha will probably play in the slot next year.

I know you want the ball in the hands of your playmakers and all, but if Masha ends up our backup QB, I hope he isn't playing a ton of receiver

I really doubt that Masha is in the slot next season.

they are going to have enough problems trying to figure out the RB issue, then you will have some sort of QB controversy, but I figure they will say that because josh is a senior, they are going with him, but we saw yesterday, what a mobile QB is capable of doing to a team that lets him escape.
Kelly or Parker in the slot
Petey, Shells, and hopefully Farrow out wide
Get the ST return game fixed
But not fair to Masha for him to be sitting, that kid is a talent, coaching staff has there work cut out for them

0 QB controversy. We saw that Mashs may be mobile but his arm strength and accuracy need a lot more work.

He will have plenty of opportunity to work on both in spring ball and next summer, but I agree...0 controversy. I don't feel bad for him either...they will find ways to get him the ball next year, and he showed that he can come in when needed

Putting Masha in the slot could work, not sure Gill will do it though.
We would be fine at backup QB without Masha there - Shashaty and Bradwell

I believe Bradwell's development will determine where Masha is utilized. Take Gabe's experience as an example.

Mike was the slot receiver the year he was the backup quarterback. It can be done.

Said that several times last night... What were we saving 3 for? We needed that kid on the field

I know Grooms was working at the slot, instead of RB. Filling in for Gabe at the slot will be the offenses biggest issue next season.
