The calm before the storm...who else is coming our way? How many more? Will all of our verbals keep their word?
Shhh...you can hear the anticipation beginning to rise...
I wonder how much the 'Sunbelt' is playing into the class of 2018's decision to come to the mountain.
Shhh...see you all Feb 5.
Go Flames!!!

Looks like we just picked up a commitment from Trey Caso of Georgia.

We have 13 commitments in the class coming into the last couple days before signing day with all but one of our single player needs accounted for (long snapper although Winstead from last year's class probably will fill that spot)

10 ints as a Junior, 7 returned for a TD? That's an insane stat! It will be fun to follow this wild card thru his time @ LU.

The Turner kid could turn out being a huge gamble or a huge steal. At our level, you absolutely have to go for one or two of those guys every year.

The list of verbals we had coming into today that have not signed - Avery, Trey Caso, Jeff Fox, Corbin Jackson, and Avery Echols.
Echols is a preferred walk-on so you won't be hearing his name. I'm thinking Trey Caso is the same.
As mentioned previously, it doesn't sound like Fox will be able to sign today, maybe something with grades.
No idea with Corbin Jackson.
Still hoping Avery signs.

So how does everyone feel about this signing class? Not really from a position standpoint but more of a talent upgrade perspective. Seems to me a solid but not outstanding class. Of course it's impossible to tell for sure but that's what message boards are for

Really like bradwell farrow avery & james. Like the TE tramsfer. Not enough info on the other guys though i like the size. I do think we might regret not adding a D tackle. We lost fewell and bah and im sure jaron greene will take one spot but a lot of question after him to me

For me it says that the D-line coach has more confidence in the players that are already on the mountain at the position. It would be nice to have an interior lineman or two waiting in the wings, but we have some good youth that can be further developed this spring and upcoming fall.
I think this is a very solid class as a whole with a lot of players who have a chance to come in and contribute even after a redshirt year (which is probably going to happen to a few of these guys)

Bah was/is a talent, but it's hard to say we "lost" him when he really didn't play that much due to a string of nagging injuries. I believe our coaches really like Hunt and Cook, who were redshirted last year as well as Gerald Holt, who played quite a bit last year as a redshirt freshman.
Of course Green looks like an absolute STUD, and should be the anchor of the middle of our D line for the next 3 years.

Also we are pretty loaded on the O-line; there may be one or two they are planning to switch over to D.
