Next year's schedule

I was talking to people about this today (it's an off week, we're allowed to look at next year) and we couldn't figure out all of next year's schedule. Help us out:
Home
VMI
Coastal
Away
Chuck South
Gardner-Webb
Western Carolina
Not sure
Elon
Presby
That's six games, and we figured a I-A game which would be a seventh. Any clue who that or the other 4 games are?

From what I have heard we have Lehigh, Youngstown St, JMU, William and Mary, and Western Carolina on for next year. Not sure if those a definates or not.

JMU is 08. I figured Western as well but forgot to put it.

WCU, I believe, is next year, but that hasn't been finalized. That would be on the road.
A I-A game is in the talks, but I'm not going to divulge with whom because nothing that I've gotten has been on the record.
Elon is on the road and Presbyterian is at home next season. Another two-year deal with W&M was done when Thom Park was the AD, but I'm not sure if that has been blown up with the new administration. If it's still on, that means the game would be in Williamsburg next year.
Youngstown, JMU and Lehigh are all on the road in 2008. That's why LU is starting the Elon series on the road. They need home games in 08.
From what I've gathered then ...
Home:
Coastal Carolina
VMI
Presbyterian
Away
Charleston Southern
Gardner-Webb
I-A game TBA
Western Carolina
William & Mary
Elon
Which leaves two home games (at least) to be filled. I'd expect one to be a DII school. The other (pure speculation here) could be Savannah State.
Next time I've over at LU, which will probably be Thursday, I'll try to pin some more details down.

Well at least two of the trips next year are going to suck.

Charleston Southern - 6.5 hours
Gardner-Webb - 4.5 hours
Western Carolina - 5.5 hours
William & Mary - 3 hours
Elon - 2 hours
Better start saving as soon as the VMI game ends.

South Florida or Central Florida would be great choices.

We're working on getting some games down there, preferably a I-A game.

A Texas roadie would be nice.
Yeah, I was under the impression that SSU had a return date.

If we have SSU again then I pray to God we don't have a DII.

I thought Auburn was the game we were working for this season until Coach Rocco arrived and squelched the talks.

I'ma hafta save for my first ever plane ride for that one if that's the case.
I don't want to go all the way to freaking Alabama. C'mon, Barber/Rocco, give me one short drive besides Elon. UVA, let's go to UVA. Someone cancel a game with UVA so we can play them. It's a short drive. It'd be cheap. Help a brotha out.

it would be great to play UCF again as he used to play them yearly. very fun roadie when we used to play at the citrus bowl. USF would be good to as we used to play them regularly. i would be up for a trip to FIU or FAU personally.

FIU or FAU would be good cause I think by next year we could take either one of them. Plus, I live smack in the middle of both of them so I would be at that game in a hurry.

Don't count on either F*U. There's no money there. I'd say it's BCS $ or nothing. Rutgers was originally on the plate for this year and there's no way we bought out of that one. It was probably pushed back to '08. We were also in talks w/ USF at one point last fall so I'm guessing next year's I-A is someone in the Big East and probably not UConn.

We need to go to South Florida next year, and it needs to be during FSU's bye week.
"Why?" you ask.

That girl at the USF game looks like Jenn, the FSU girl, SI has her going to college games as one of their reporters and reporting on games, she did the UF/UA game last weekend. Not sure is she will be doing that next year for SI, she is looking to get to Hollywood
