Congrats to the Flames on a good win. You are the only Big South team that has beat GWU during the five years that my son has been associated with the Runnin' Bulldogs [thanks to Stony Brook for moving on]. Your boys were much more physical than ours on the offensive and defensive lines and I believe that made the biggest difference in Saturday's win. It reminded me of our loss to Coastal and it is no surprise that y'all played each other close.

I suspect most of the Flames fans who either watched this game in person or saw it on ESPN 3 saw the same ole Gardner Webb you have been used to seeing and I probably wouldn't disagree with you based solely on Saturday's performance. I wish you could have seen the team that beat Furman, Richmond and Wofford. I truly believe that we now have a coaching staff that will make good things happen at Gardner-Webb. Saying that, I recognize that it is always going to be difficult to keep up with the Coastals and the Libertys if they decide to hang around [and I do understand that is not your intent].

By the way, was it not enough for your football team to come down here and whip our tails? Did you really have to bring your marching band [in their 4 motor coaches and 18 wheeler] and have them whip our band's tails too?

Again, congrats on the win. I have attached my pics from Saturday for those who might enjoy them.

Go Runnin' Bulldogs!

Your photos are always one of the highlights of our matchups with the Bulldogs. We'll miss your great work.

There is no question that the infusion of new coaching has had a huge impact in both Boiling Springs and North Charleston. We all suspect we will continue to see improvement in the coming seasons which will continue to enhance the league overall.
