You guys know how this works...

Tiebreaker this week...since ODU likes to score in bunches apparently, tiebreaker this week is total combined points by halftime

Man, I am having a hard time coming up with a score. It's ODU's homecoming and they have a pretty potent offense.

Aw man! I hate picking against the Flames, but I just don't see us winning this game...... unless, and it's a big unless.....

I went to the ODU vs. Villanova game last fall while stationed at Ft. Eustis, VA. I was sure I was going to see a huge blow out and ODU put up about 60 points. ODU got quick strike huge yardage plays to start the game. But then, the Nova defense adjusted and stopped the long plays. Then Nova started running the ball, and kept running, and ran it down ODUs throat. They ate up the clock, keeping the ODU offense off the field. Nova won that game. It was the ODU homecoming game. I never thought it would have happened. I knew the ODU defense was questionable at best (which still seems to be the case), but I never thought their offense could be stopped.

The way I see it. Liberty will have to follow that blueprint. Otherwise, I don't see us sticking with them in a shootout. My prediction.....

Honestly, I have seen both teams play and I am pretty sure this is a distinct possibility. These guys are good.

That won't stop me from going nuts in the stands for the boys in white (or red, or blue, or green, or purple, or whatever combination we decide to roll out on Saturday).

What i'll say is this, the same way ODU is prolific on offense they are Horrific on defense. LU can score on these guys. I think the blueprint will be heavy run dose of the run game hoping to keep them off the field with some playaction stuff built in. the one thing I also hope happens is the same aggressive play calling against a D2 school happens against this D1 program. We are gonna need Clifton to have possibly a career day along with Dez.

Memphis getting destroyed by a major earthquake is a distinct possibility, as well. The only way such a blowout would occur is if LU has catastrophic breakdowns in their offense- i.e. 5 or 6 TO's resulting in scores. Statistics suggest this more like a 20-25 point win for ODU. Either sucks, but you discount LU's abilities too much. All my opinion, of course, but even Monarch fans aren't predicting such a blowout.

I called for LU to have 17 points based off of Woodrum's recent struggles and because of AA being a question. If you know anything about ODU's offense, then you should know 60 points wouldn't be a big deal for them. Citadel did give them a scare but I'm not putting much stock into that. These guys are electric and that stadium is going to be packed on homecoming. To be honest, I think VT and UVA would struggle if they had to play at ODU. They're very talented and it's a tough place to win at. I hope our boys give them a fight. However, my prediction has very little to do with how talented I think we are, it has everything to do with my thoughts on ODU.

Add to the struggle list the Eagles, Steelers and Giants as well...

Big thing I c is same way they run a bunch of plays per game on offense will also b their ability to stop ours. I don't see them being able to cover Peterson or Henderson, the key will most definitely be if mr hands, Shells comes to play. If he doesn't catch the ball like their eggs will will be very potent and for some reason or another we still haven't seen Apon break loose yet.
