Looking Ahead to 2014: Schedule

Saw a tweet from Lang a bit ago and looks like the 2014 non-conference slate is coming together:
Chris Lang on Twitter wrote:One more piece of Liberty's 2014 non-conference sked is done: At Norfolk State, return of 2012 game in Lynchburg.
Here is what we have so far by my best guess:
Home
Richmond
Charleston Southern
Gardner-Webb
Away
West Virginia (?)
Coastal Carolina
VMI
Presbyterian
Monmouth
Norfolk State
So right now we essentially have three (or four) slots for home games left, although we could see one of our road games for next year moved to a home game to create a balanced schedule (3 home 3 away) because right now, we have 4 away games in conference

NC on the road next year? That should be an easy win.

1/2 players will be ineligible due to another gambling scandal!

Lets see if we can get a couple teams from the upper conferences in FCS to boost the home schedule (MVFC, SoCon or even Big Sky or Southland) Im sure nobody here wants to see us schedule two D2s again next year

It's not a dream schedule, but I'll take it. Most of those games were already under contract. I would prefer another D1 over the Brevard game, but hopefully we are looking at the last Liberty game against a D2 opponent.

I think it's a pretty solid schedule. A good FBS (UNC), some winnable games (Norfolk St, Bryant), and some good tests (UR, JMU).
Yeah I could do without the D2, but other than that it's solid.

Agreed...would it be nice to have a game against a Wofford or a Central Arkansas or a SOuthern Illinois or even a Cal Poly or South Dakota State or any other number of the top teams but this is a very solid schedule, and what's also nice is its a balance of home and away games as well.

It will look even better if that mid-major FBS school were from the western half of the Sun Belt. Can I get a witness, SumItUp?
