We move now to the offensive side of the ball as we are just over a week away from players reporting for 2013 training camp. We start by looking at the boys up front whose job it will be to protect Josh Woodrum adn pave the way for the Richardson and the rest of the Flames running backs.

Here is a look at how they came out of the spring: https://www.flamefans.com/forums/viewto ... 74#p426874

Players Incoming:

Dylan Brucki 6-5 295 Lbs Roanoke, VA (Cave Spring HS, alma mater of teammate Josh Woodrum)
Avery Easton 6-2 275 Lbs Gainesville, GA (North Hall HS)
Cody Gochenouer 6-4 275 Lbs Napa, CA (Napa HS/American River College) (Joined Spring 2013)
Michael Henderman 6-3 310 Lbs Tyrone, GA (Sandy Creek HS)
Lucas Holder 6-5 270 Lbs Hillsville, VA (Carroll County HS)
Andrew Kingsbury 6-3 275 Lbs Nashville, TN (Christ Presbyterian Academy)
Blanchard Sanwouo 6-6 260 Lbs Orlando, FL (Orlando Christian HS)
Kris Wilson 6-4 310 Lbs Richmond, VA (Varina HS)

O-line was easily the heaviest recruited position of the bunch, with 6 players signed and one more brought in as an invited walk-on. Of course with five players leaving the program either by graduation or injury (Mondor), Gill was certainly going to have to restock the cupboard. Getting Boyd back was huge, having him as the anchor to the left side of the line. His will be a big loss in 2014, but he and Steward will be the only loss, so the rest of the line will have a chance to further gel. With only 8 players in the rotation coming out of spring practice (including JUCO Gochenouer and Grant Jones who recently rejoined the team as well), a couple of the freshmen could have a chance to get themselves into the two deep for the Kent State game, but most of them will probably redshirt barring injuries.

I will be interested to see how many of the new freshmen work their way into the two-deep on the line. With only 8 players in the rotation you know Coach Gill and Coach Wagner will want to have some margin in case of injury which seems to be an issue with that area the most among the position groups.
Are we back?

Nice! Here is to hoping we can live bot free.
