Part 3 of our look at the 2013 Flames football tem takes us to the boys on the second level of the Flames defense...and a couple locals lead the charge here.

Players Incoming
Dexter Robbins 6-0 210 Lbs Sevierville, TN (Sevier County High School)
John Nick Setterlind 6-3 230 Lbs Asheville, NC (A.C. Reynolds HS)
This is probably the second most experienced group on the defensive side to the defensive backs (and not by much). All Conference Linebacker Nick Sigmon from nearby Northside High School leads the way with this group, along with Liberty Christian product Scott Hyland. Sigmon got his first career touchdown on a pick-6 against 6th ranked Stony Brook in the finale last year, a year after Hyland got his first career TD against Charleston Southern. Andrew Jauch moved over from DB and finished the spring as the starting SAM linebacker. Physical DB Chris Mayo also moves over from DB as well and will probably be in he mix for the WILL spot with Sigmon starting in the middle. With the amount of experience coming back, both LB signees, Robbins and Setterlind, will probably redshirt for 2013 unless there are a lot of injuries at that spot, and then get a chance come spring 2014 to fill in for one of the departing seniors.
