Don't know where this belongs, so will leave it to the Mods.
Our Chancellor Jerry Jr, has asked Coach Hout to head up the initial organization of LULA, or Liberty University Letterman Association. It will honor athletes in all varsity sports, past, present and future. Please tell all the athletes that you know, to be on the lookout for the official announcement planned for Sept.7th. There are some details that still need to be finalized, but there has been a lot of up-front planning and things are progressing well. There will be some social media sites set up to help with the roll-out, lots of phone calls, etc.
I have spoken with Coach Hout in detail, and he is very excited to take on this challenge and to serve God and the University in this capacity.

Morgan Hout = class act
I´m also a big fan of coach Sam, but the way that was handled was not one of Docs finer moments. Great to see JLFJR reaching out and coach Hout stepping up.

I am not 100% sure it is for club sports. May or may not be, I don't know.

Absolutely agree. It shows what a class act both of these gentlemen are. God has blessed us with some great leaders.

I just spent the day with coach Hout in Lynchburg talking about this and touring the campus. Thanks to Terry Falwell for showing Chris Toomer and me the entire campus! There was so much today that I didn't even know existed that I saw today. What an impressive campus.
Spending time with Coach Hout was indeed an honor and I look forward to helping him make this vision a reality.

The amount of talent he recruited primarily when we were D2 & transitioning up was astounding. He is an outstanding ambassador to our former athletes.

Shout outs to Ted Allen (who has been over at the news office since January) for the first article on the group here:

Former Liberty University football coach Morgan Hout has taken a charge from Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. to create the Liberty University Lettermen's Association — both for the Flames' NCAA Division I athletes and those competing at the Club Sports level.
"I've done a lot of research and I don't know of any club sports program in America that has a letterman program," said Hout, LULA's Administrator. "We're basically inventing the wheel, not reinventing it."
This is the official crest to be featured on all ceremonial apparel worn by student-athletes, past and present, who are members of the Liberty University Lettermen's Association.
Hout announced plans to kick off the Lettermen's Association at the start of the 2013-14 school year during the Club Sports end-of-the-year banquet on May 1. He also introduced the association's new crest.
