Just curious. What is everyone's favorite road game on this year's schedule?
We have an FBS team on our schedule but we have at least two FCS games, that seem as exciting, if not more so.

I enjoy the trip to Charleston Southern. They have the best facilities in all of FCS.

Pretty sure I've seen more sturdy grandstands that seat more at a gymnastics competition than the visiting side of that field.
If I could choose... I'd go to the game at ODU above any of them. They know what they're doing in terms of atmosphere.

Definitely would love to go to the ODU game. Not only is it close to my parents but as pretty said, they definitely know how to make for an excellent gameday experience

For me and my family, it will be all of them since is a frosh with a chance to play. Above that I would say that the ODU game would be nice as I had family there as well and they do have a nice atmosphere

Personally I would prefer to have a game somewhere a little closer. But I would go with the flow in regard to Kent State & ODU. I've driven by the former many times when the stadium was 90% empty for games. Based on last season, I suspect the place may be packed on opening night.

I agree on the ODU game. I just hope we go in there and at least compete. Looking at how Kent State lost so many players off of last years team, I'm thinking ODU will be our toughest opponent. However, I am a little surprised to see none of you talking about the Richmond game. Rocco's? It's only a two hour drive and I would expect to see lots of Liberty red in the stands. Anyone agree?

The Flashes bring back plenty including arguably the most electrifying player in all of college football. Taking nothing for granted in that one.

Oh, he is back? Nevermind then. I thought he graduated.

Richmond is my pick because of the Rocco factor. But also
hoping to go to ODU game... Per Flames Club email "we have only 350 tickets to sell for the game at Old Dominion on October 5, making it the most limited ticket in Liberty history".

If ODU is only giving 350 tix that doesn't even sound right. I know we are their homecoming n all but I thought they had to allot more than that to the other team.

If I had to pick a road game this season, it would be Charleston Southern. I do not like Richmond or ODU, thus I would not go to a game there. As for Kent State, they may be a FBS schools.....but barely. Certainly not a Wake Forest, NC State, West Virginia type of school.
My favorite LU road trip is always the trip over the mountain to VMI.

Conference games typically have guarantees of ticket availability for visitors. But it generally is more flexible in non - conference matchups. Normally it is not a huge issue but Foreman Field is a very hot ticket right now.
I wonder if we are taking our band based on ticket allotment.

Its a possibility, but upon a cursory examination, the tentative band schedule doesnt list travelling to the ODU game. Its not finalized so that may be added in the coming weeks but right now its not looking like that is happening. I know the band tries to go to at least one event away from Lynchburg per year so we will see.

clarification: the 350 tix that are for sale are after coach/player passes have been taken into account. i didn't ask about the band. the flames club tix will be based on loyalty points. on 7/1 will have opportunity to submit a request then will be notified in a few weeks if you can purchase tickets.

I'm looking forward to the Richmond game as it is a virtual "home game" for me. My former President at my company is an ODU grad and a season ticket holder so I plan on making that trip too.

Does Scar need his own encounter thread?
