Does anyone know who has left the team in the offseason? I heard that B. Hudson is going to Campbell and that Chase Griffins is gone. Any truth to that? Any others?

@DSordelettLNA: Liberty OL Grant Jones, one of the Flames' top area recruits two seasons ago, not listed on LU spring football roster.
@DSordelettLNA: Liberty coach Turner Gill is not answering questions regarding the roster at this time.

I mean no new commitments BYD other than the kid from C-ville. we have about 50 players still on the board (across all positions) as of my last count a couple minutes ago

The lock-down secrecy of the program that Gill operates with is kind of annoying. I guess he finds that to be the best way to go about his business but it's not like this is some big time program where the media is out to get you.

totally agree. the whole closed practice thing i think took away some of the excitement that was built. it really makes zero sense to me.

+2 unless you think I'm pooping on your statement. I would suspect he is very gushy after his experiences at Kansas. Plus, the behind the scenes politics probably make him more wary. I wish he wasn't but I can see why he would be. I agree that it offers more upside to be more open and capitalize on the goodwill of the people!

I do concur with everyone's sentiments on the closed nature of the program. As I said before, we have around 50 prospects still on our radar across all positions, we dont know what the status is on the remaining OOC games for football (especially important since we have three home games still unaccounted for) and other than the one maybe two posts on Flames Nation there really hasnt been much information on player movement outside of graduation

Nick Martin graduated in December and moved on to life in the business world. He is marrying his high school and LU sweetheart in March.

I asked his father if Grant was still on the team. No response.

Which would seem to say either he is not on the team or his status is uncertain. No reason not to say so if he is definately still with us.
