For your information the media guide is out there on the LU football website under the heading "More Football". Most of you probably know that by now for just in case for those who don't. Not sure how to create a link to that site but you might want to check it out if you get the time. An excellent product but very late. Need to get this out much earlier before the season starts so it has more meaning. But other than the lateness issue it is an excellent product that would compare favorably with any other 1AA's media guide.

Most of this years recruiting class has a detailed writeup on them. Never seen that before. Impressive.

Steve ... just an FYI. The reason the media guide was so late was that Barber wanted to have photos of the new turf and the new look of the stadium in it. He also wanted shots of the nearly completed football center inside. The cover shot was taken from the St. Paul's game. Now had the turf been installed on time, maybe the book would have come out earlier.

Thanks for the info Chris. I thought that there was a legitimate reason behind the lateness. Regardless of that it is an excellent piece of work by all of those involved.

I think it was taken at the Glenville St. game because their colors are blue/white (St. Pauls were Orange/Black = Tigers).

I agree, it is excellent work as is the norm for the folks that put that together.

That photo is from G.St, cause it's the same photo that was on the website the day after the game... Media guides should all be in this Friday...

You know, I don't mean to nitpick because that's an awesome picture, but wouldn't it have been better taken from the other side, that way the side of the stands that were full would be seen. I wonder why the didn't do that.

That's where they have taken the shot in years past as well. My guess is that is where they can set up the cherrypicker the easiest.

I was wondering why that thing was on the concourse during the Glenville St game...

On a clear day, when the sun is setting just right, the view from the student side back towards the Peaks of Otter is much better than looking out toward the Wingate Inn and Candler's Mountain. That's my guess.

I saw a boo boo on the media guide. Under Garner Webb's page under the opponents section it has us loosing 56-0 and 37-17 to them in the last 2 years. I think that belongs in William and Mary's page. Loosing to Gardner Webb period is bad enough we don't have to make it that much worse.
