I think he is asking what the score would be if LU and Notre Dame played right now...and simply put
ND a whole lot
LU next to nothing

Oh. I'd guess it would be in the 60-0 range if ND played their starters their whole time. They could score more than that if they wanted to run up the score.

would that be based on last years squad or what. In my opinion, the problem offensively would be they would load the box up to stop AA and comp., and force the ball to be put in the air. At that point say committing seven in the box for the run leaves them to possible double up PK with a S or LB and playing 1 on 1 with the other receivers and whether or not we could win those matchups. Um not consistently enough to make them worry.
We score most likely on either a Return to the house or a return by KFogg or DJ, that sets us up on a short field where we could score that way.
Defensively, it just depends on how much they wear us down over the course of the game, I do see us getting an early pick, and then its what we do with that possession. I don't see them hitting on alot of big plays but just wearing the team down over course of four quarters. They get us with the depth issue on the Dline and Oline respectively.
44-14(13) - we score either 2 tds or 1 and 2 fgs

It wouldn't be 60-0. Notre Dame goes triple overtime to squeak by Pitt, a team that gets beaten handily by Youngstown State. Notre Dame didn't exactly blow out many people this season.

Some of you guys are delusional. Notre Dame is without a doubt one of the 10 best teams in the country. They finished with 1 loss and still had the best RPI in the country. Liberty was 186th. Liberty would get blown off the field.

Top 15 maybe. Not top 10.
In no particular order
Alabama
Oregon
LSU
Georgia
Ohio State
Kansas State
Stanford ( even though they lost to ND)
Texas A and M
South Carolina
Florida
Wisconsin
And we may not score and be the first team in ever to give up 100 pts

Top 10? Haize again we agree.....MAYBE a top 15 team but certainly not top 10!!! Alabama exposed a weak Notre Dame team that squeaked by a few wins and didn't play a schedule even remotely comparable to the bloodbath that is the SEC regular season.
Haize I would add Clemson and Florida State to your list as well. Michigan State was clearly overrated when ND beat them, and the fact that Alabama made a mockery of the national championship tells me that at least 5-6 SEC teams are better.

So pls explain why I may be dilusional, or could someone pls tell me why we would get beat so bad. Even if you take the Alabama game out they ND never looked liked world beaters at all this year. So what reasons can you give as to why it would be so bad.

Their offensive line against our defensive line
Their running backs against our LB's
Their WR's against our secondary
Their defensive line against our offensive line
Their secondary against our receivers
Their linebackers against our RB's. assuming they get past the ND D line
The blitz packages
Their pass rush
Their speed
Their size

Did liberty make the FCS Playoffs this year? No?
Point, Set, Match.

At least I broke it down by each section of the game.

Their offensive line against our defensive line - ND - I do believe I said something about that
Their running backs against our LB's - ND not by much (shut down maysonette, why not ND's)
Their WR's against our secondary - LU - held there own all year
Their defensive line against our offensive line - ND (were not that small tho)
Their secondary against our receivers - ND - We really didnt have any with injuries
Their linebackers against our RB's. assuming they get past the ND D line - they run a 3-4
The blitz packages - ND - God forbid we actually block it
Their pass rush - they run a 3-4 it can be blocked still ND
Their speed - yea right ND not known for speed really
Their size - Push - look at the rosters - Depth would become a problem at some point, I know, im not that far gone.
Like I said originally I never said we would win, but do I think we could do some things, yes possibly. If you have ever put that uniform on you would know the difference, know matter if inside you really know the outcome, its not like you not gonna show up and give your best, but then again maybe you haven't.
With your attitudes maybe App St. would be saying the same thing when they played Michigan. NO NO NO im not saying we're App St. but they showed up they gave it a there bbest and the chips fell where they did. I guess some of you never really looked at ND indepth. LOL

Did the Giants make the NFL Playoff this year? No?
So whats, your point, the game is played on the field, LOL
You probably would'nt understand either

You are right I have never put on football pads and lined up against ND
The only area we would be close to evenly matched would be their WR against our DBs, but this would be an issue with depth.
You are right, ND isn't known for speed, but they are faster than us.
As for line play, look at how a team like GW pushed us around. Granted, they didn't the entire game because their conditioning was poor, but ND would be both bigger AND in better shape. Add to that a really good LB corps, I even think one was a Heisman candidate

, and you have problems.
I'm not sure what our defensive front 7 could do against their O Line but they'd give it a shot !
It's ridiculous to compare an LU-ND match up to the Appy St - Michigan game. For starters Appy St was better than us and MI was worse than ND. It's not a question of kids giving their best. That's a given. But all men/teams are not created equal. You said yourself that we wouldn't win, then castigate those who agree and give you reasons. You say we 'could do some things, yes, possibly.' How is THAT a ringing endorsement

Could we score? Probably, it's difficult to shut a team out. Could we make it close? Lets say I'd take ND and the points.

I even tried to break it down, but when Im told im crazy becuz the score wont be worse than what some think, im wrong. Its ok, I guess it what we do when we r bored and waiting for next season to start.

What's your score?
*edit - I see it. A bit overly optimistic. I would say 1 score, most likely a FG.

In other words, Liberty scores the same amount or more points than the following teams did against Notre Dame this season:
Navy 50-10
#10 Michigan State 20-3
#18 Michigan 13-6
Miami 41-3
#17 Stanford 20-13
BYU 17-14
#8 Oklahoma 30-13
Boston College 21-6
Wake Forest 38-0
USC 22-13
