Sure sounds like a Liberty kid based on that interview.

He is from the same school that we were interested in a QB last year. What ever happened to the QB?

Tyler Hall...Good question though...he isnt listed on Stetson OR Allegheny's roster, and according to somebody that was who it came down to when all was said and done.

The coach for this school posts on our board from time to time. Hopefully he fills in the details.

Hey guys,

Just to fill everyone in on what happened with Tyler first of all. He really felt led to quit football (at least for a time) to pursue his relationship with God and he did that and spent his first semester of college at Liberty. He loved it but some family issues arose and now he will be returning to the football field after retuning home till the fall. I can't say what school until everything is all worked out but I promise to update things as they move along.

Now onto David... he's a kid everyone is going to want by the end of his senior year. This kid is a natural linebacker and has put on another fifteen pounds or so. He's close to 200 right now and is up to around 6'1.5/6'2.

Thanks for updates, jarodmt. We wish Tyler nothing but the best. With the new programs popping up down there in Florida there certainly is opportunity for him.

Keep us in the loop in regard to David. Hopefully Tyler speaks well to him of his LU experience.

David was named the top LB at the camp and will continue to hit the camp circuit this summer.

Here's the writeup they had on him:

11TH Grade LB MVP
9'5 Broad Jump, 28" Vertical
4.63 40, 4.21 Shuttle
Great hips, feet, body control
Big heart and passion for the game, Big potential

Update for you guys:
After taking the MVP at the Jacksonville event, he then proceeded to again take the LB MVP at the U-100 Southeast event in Atlanta: [youtube]

Additionally, David is in the final steps of being named an Eagle Scout.

Eagle scout is great, but a Flame is better.

Little follow up for you guys that I forgot to mention the other night.

David busted his tail all summer and off season. He is now 6'1 and closer to 200 lbs. He is running in the mid 4.5 range and close to a 4 flat 5-10-5. This kid is a headbuster and has tattooed some kids so far through two games in limited time.

I believe that with his desire to pursue engineering there is a chance he lands at either Georgia Tech, Virginia or Virginia Tech. There has also been discussion of taking a preferred walk on spot at UF.

What type of engineering career is he pursuing? We have multiple engineering programs now at Liberty. The school has been investing significantly into the programs the past year or so. Granted the program doesn't have the reputation of GT but Georgia Tech doesn't have the Liberty atmosphere either.

David forced two fumbles, recovered one, scored once on the ground and racked up 13 total tackles (8 solo) in the state championship game last Saturday night.

David will take all of his visits after the National Underclassmen All American game. Liberty is still in consideration and has been in contact with David by email. To my knowledge David will not make another trip to Liberty since his parents went there, he went to CFAW this year already and we have taken numerous trips there.

He will decide on national signing day or potentially after depending on how visits are going.

David is #16 on the video below

What ever happened to the QB from Cornerstone Academy who was interested in LU a couple of years ago?

That is a good question FSU...I looked and there really isnt much on him on the search engines and the last post on the thread about him here was by jarodmt almost 2 years ago and he didnt show up on Stetson's or Allegheny's 2012 or 2013 roster and according to jarod's post those were the two places he was looking at landing.

jarodmt mentioned awhile back that he came to school as a student and spent a year at LU before transferring closer to home.
