Thanks for posting this, Sly. I need a tutorial on posting pdf files. I was surprised to receive this letter since I had never met Rev. Hesburgh. The good Rev. is 95 years old and was president of Notre Dame from 1952-1987. Very thoughtful of him to write and reflect on the similarities between LU and ND -- a real encouragement to me!

No doubt the potential is here to making the vision a reality. And JLF jr ability to drive the revenues higher, strengthen the academic programs/facilities will lead the way to recruiting a higher level student/athlete as Notre Dame and BYU has long achieved. Other will continue to see the growth of LU as a national university.
