So much for the whole "We will never schedule Liberty" thing.

I know there were talks with another CAA team to add a home and home, but I'm not sure if it has been finalized yet. It would be nice to have an all D1 schedule next year. I would prefer that we pay a non-scholly Pioneer League team over a D2/NAIA game.

I have heard the other CAA home-and-home may be withering away despite our best efforts.

As for ODU, last I heard this could be a series starting next year depending on how negotiations progressed.

Interestingly enough, as it stands today we are only known to leave the Commonwealth for one game at Chuck South. I expect that to change soon.

If true, that's unfortunate. It would have been a good test match-up for our program.

I agree and so did all of our folks. Hopefully the other school involved recognizes it as well.

Any chance that change involves a certain team in Chapel Hill? They have an opening on their schedule with Minnesota backing out of their series. But they are already playing an FCS opponent (ODU) in 2013, which would probably put us pretty low on the totem pole...that is if we're still FCS...

Is Kent State moving their stadium to Virginia?

ODU is a fantastic addition to the schedule. Hope we can find one more CAA or Southern Conference school in addition to Richmond for next year.

This makes me very happy.

I get to go to two Liberty football games next year while driving a total of 18 miles....round trip.

... and the drive to Richmond isn't exactly killer for you either.

I would love to see us add App. State to a home and home again. I think thats a game that would draw fans from both sides to both stadiums.

We havent played App State since guys like manson and myself were freshmen at LU so I certainly would like to see us pick them up, especially for a home game next season. If we can avoid adding a D2 or lower team to the schedule, Im game for whoever
