13 Flames earn all-conference

13 Liberty football players earned all-conference honors when the Big South announced the all-conference teams today.

Josh Woodrum earned Big South Freshman of the year and Liberty finished with six players on the first team

Excellent. Congratulations to those selected and all the guys this year who put in the work and didn't get selected. A special congrats to Pat Kelly for academic excellence in the classroom.

We will be good next year with the bulk of the D coming back and with a few receivers elevating their game, we should be formidable on O as well.

Its the first time since 2008 that a running back from someone NOT from Stony Brook has finished as a first team running back

I just noticed Lunsford was second team. I was surprised by that. Considering 8/10 kickoffs were touchback and the way he kicked field goals.

I think what hurt his first team chances was being out with injury. Skiff has been one of the best the last few years...he and Bevins were regularly battling for first team kicker honors the last four years

I can see the injury hurting his first team chances. At least he's only a freshman. Good weapon to have for the future.
