VMI has been headed in the wrong direction since the win over PC. We need to keep our heads about us following the huge win we got yesterday because this can definitely be a trap game for us if we arent careful

If anyone is going, I saw a BOGO offer for the game. I will try to find and post. It was some type of groupon or something.

VMI is my favorite road trip, and when the weather is nice, I drive my Jeep with the top down. 8)

No and they are not given 14 million a year to put a team on the field, rat line required for all and felonies are a serious act in Lexington for their AD.

I think the ratline would do some good for you TC to the sixth power.

Not as awesome as Flames Nation but here is my preview of this weekend's game.
http://flamesfootball2008.blogspot.com/ ... w-vmi.html
Its the regular season finale for these two in state rivals and major Big South championship implications ride on this game as well as Coastal Carolina's finale against Charleston Southern.

according to our blogger friend, with a win Saturday, Liberty will garner its seventh consecutive six win season (and seventh straight winning season), joining this group of schools with at least 6 wins in seven straight years (total wins in parentheses):

Appalachian State (75)
Montana (69)*
New Hampshire (62)
James Madison (57)
Montana State (56)
Harvard (54)
Albany (53)
Drake (52)
Liberty (52)*
McNeese State (52)
Jacksonville State (50)

It should also be noted that in the past 9 years, we are 27-6 against teams in which games are played southeast of I-81 and northeast of I-26 :D

If youre going to joke about my penchant for statistics, at least use accurate information...VA does not have an I-26...there is a State Route 26 though...and Lexington is technically east-northeast of I-81, not southeast...

Here is a meaningless stat backed by factual information...Liberty has lost its last two road season finales and three of the last four

I-26 equals interstate 26 in SC.

All kidding aside I was only joking.

And I wasn't including VMI, in fact I just made the number up.

No, mr. statistics- this is accurate: Lexington is north-northwest of I-81.

I can't believe Cider didn't catch that!

Rogers, I'm a wordsmith, not a numbers cruncher, but here's a link to a map in case anyone cares.

I believe both of our schools will be in their fall breaks, but it would be great to have Foster Stadium in Lexington look this full tomorrow like it did last Saturday when the Keydets faced El Cid:

It is nowhere near as large as ours but it is a terrific venue to watch a football game. Wish I could be there tomorrow.

Apparently the Corps doesn't break for Thanksgiving until after classes on Tuesday. So they should be out in full force. Hopefully we can bring a nice contingent of fans just an hour over the mountains to see us claim a share of the league championship.
